308 teaspoons 5 milliliters in a teaspoon = 1540 milliliters = 1540 grams Ya, I fudged the system right there and arbitrarily changed volume to mass just cuz it felt good 1 milliliter = 1 gram
15.43 grams per grain so... 308 teaspoons = 23,762 grains

It's also 3.2 pints, 6.4 cups or for you alcoholics out there... 2 5ths. I will be answering the regular question at the gas station from now on... Q: "How BIG is the engine on that thing?" A: "6.4 cups. or two fifths." Jabba

The 93 cid is what you tell those dumbass HOG members. Of course I've run into one that insisted that jap cubic inches are far smaller than "murican" cubic inches. Yanno, at times ya can't argue with stupid.

Yeah Momz. I know. the same guys think there 96" engine will smoke you because of the extra 3". Nope... not even close. Now I have a buddy with a BUILT 124" HD that WILL smoke my Valks. But he's got $40K in that bike... Jabba

Jabba A 124 inch motor isn't an HD motor. It's probably a TP or an S&S motor in a HD. A big inch aircooled V-twin HD clone motor will in no way last more than 50K unless it is babyed and then it will never come close to racing a Valk.
But there are Kawasaki V2Ks, 1800 Yamahas, V-Rod and several other high tech v-twins that can come close or even beat (maybe) the Valk.
Heck, Big Mike Terry has a S/C valk that is blindingly fast and he's asking $9000.00 for it. That's a long way from a 40K+ HD.

Jabba He just said the other night he was making payments so I doubt he's done anything to void the warranty .He's around 60 to 65 horsepower and 70 to 75 ft-lbs on torque . Anybody with google can look this up....I've rode Big Al's 96 and no way would it ever hang with a Valkyrie.

My brother in law has a 96" Road King that will hang with my Valk. But it's about a dead heat. And he has about $8K in engine work at a decade ago prices.
There are some out there that'll burn you. But the exception NOT the rule.

Maybe if they have spent the dollars on the motor, if not no chance, spend half that on the valk. and see what you have.

just a fyi,,, I've looked at different sites, and the HP they mention for the new TC-96 is 79 (Stock TC-88 ponies.) to 82. The big difference they highlight is the torque. Most of the articles also mention the heat problem with the FI. (I would like to strangle the EPA the way they are strangling my favorite ride!)

Shades' 103 Harley got a lot of attention at the Days Inn parking lot, and a lot of questions were asked... I didn't catch all of it, but got the impression that getting rid of the catalytic converter (which I guess means changing out the OEM pipes) got rid of the heat problems... maybe he'll see this and chip in, or someone else who knows... I doubt his Harley is slow, and I didn't get the impression he had "souped it up"... -Mike
