Maybe it was broadsiding the minivan at 45 mph, Maybe it was my beautiful wive and I walking away from it, or maybe it was the Best Fracken Motorcycle I have ever owned or ridden but I actually had a tear in my eye. Good Grief I am 6'1" 385  man I was got emotional sliding a license plate over a counter.  Patty had to come with me, they don't trust me driving alone yet, she just kind of looked at me. She knew what I was feeling, but a dirty license plate to her is a dirty license plate. I guess she is right, A beautiful wive , four great kids, 6 lovely grandchildren,  two of the best son in laws ever.

Hang in there Bonzo!

I would speak for many that it would be a tough day for any of us to do what you did.  You will always be family here.  Just because you have decided to make some changes doesn't change who you are and what you bring to the VRCC.  Hope to maybe see you at InZane.  Bring four wheels!!!  I'm bringing the whole clan with me (mini van and all), and my bike Tongue

Keep us posted on what your doing with your time.

Peace be with you,

Joe.  cooldude

We don't know each other Bonzo, But I feel I have to say how sad all this is. How one wrong turn has caused you so much pain, and taken from you a source of joy.  Sad  I hope you get comfortable with it again some day. Get well soon, Peace.

And in Kansas, turning in plates gets you a refund of the "unused months".

Steve,

I can't say I know how you feel because I don't........I have nothing but respect for you in the decision you have made (I know it was not an easy one). Right now the top priority is healing for you and Patty.......Let me know if there is anything you two need. I look forward to our next meeting......perhaps a "cage" wine tour or a NJ to NY visit to have some BBQ.......see you soon, my friend!!

This is one instance where size does not matter. No joke intended. If you don't have feelings, you're not alive.

God bless you and your family Bonzo. My brother and sister in law came upon a Goldwing after it hit a deer. They were on the scene in less than a minute after the crash. They were holding the man's hand and praying with the very happily married father of 4 as he died. This was well before the paramedics showed up. They sold their motorcycles and all their related gear within 30 days. Motorcycle riding was one of their passions and no one ever questioned their descision.

That was 3 years ago. They now each have a motorcycle again and are greatly enjoying this hobby/passion. Take your time, heal completely and pray for full restoration. All will be well.

All the best,

Mark
