Looks like a great time!  Thanks for the reminder of how high Big Bend is on my To Do list...

I have been running to Big Bend at least once a year (usually spring break) since 1986.  In 2008 I went four times.  I have posted dates on this site for the last two year.   I have to suspect there is no reason for that to change anytime soon...

Big Bend is a popular destination because during spring break, it's about the only place within easy reach with reasonably warm weather.

This year's dates are March 9th thru 17th 2013...

not quite willing to book rooms yet, but it is certainly an option.  It ain't the Taj Mahal but it's reasonably priced and has that kitchen and the courtyard area...

However... I have often stayed at this place back when i took students on such shin-digs:

www.crowsnestranch.com

They have RV hookups, a campground and three rustic cabins that sleep about six.

Love that West Texas country, could take a trip there 2-3 times a year.

*Jealous*

Been too long since I've been down to that road. Love that area... Maybe things will calm down enough soon that I can go sometime... soon...

Thanks for posting the video!

That depends on how "friendly" you are?

I like space!

Then we are agreed.

Now, the AL (Antelope Lodge) in Alpine sounds fine to me... there are som snazzier places around town  Personally, I think we ought to try to "twist a rate" on the rooms and consider some in house catering, unless someone grabs the rains on the food situation... like Craig and Debbie did last year.

I have to admit... I had fun!  It was cool!
