I bought a set of Rivco adjustbale passenger floor boards from Michael Terry that came in yesterday. As every other time I've done business with VB&M, the product is always beter than the description. These were brand new in a never before opened box and are simply beautiful. Very easy to install and should go a long way to increasing my wifes comfort level.
We first saw a set mounted on a Valkyrie last year at Inzane in Michigan. She made a comment about how nice and how comfortable they looked so I've been watching for them ever since. A big thank you to Big Mike at VB&M and to Rivco for making them available .
All the best,
Mark

Rivco started making those again, I got a set for Carolyn recently (not installed yet)...
I think the ones I have are exactly the same as the ones you got from Big Mike, except my boards are not billet like yours (I guess you got the billet ones I saw on his site)...

Yes, triple plated billet according to the box and the shear weight of these things.
You'll like them,
Mark

Hello Mark,
Thank You for your kind words. Rivco has not started making them again. While doing some spring cleaning they found a few sets and called me about them. They opened them up and made sure that everything was in the box that needed to be in the box posted a current date inspection sticker. I am guessing that the recently dated inspection stiker is why one might think that they are getting produced again.
Thanks again to ALL, See you at INZANE!!!

They're not there now (must be all gone?), but very recently (last couple of months) they had the "Classic Steel" (as opposed to "Premium Billet") passenger boards for the Valkyrie listed. I got a set, cause I want Carolyn to be comfy, but since only "Classic Steel" came up when you searched for Valkyrie, I didn't know there was such a thing as "Premium Billet"... as with butter, everything is better with Billet... I figgered they'd made more, didn't consider that they'd found some in the back... Hey Mike, want to trade some uninstalled "Classic Steels" for a set of "Premium Billets"? -Mike

Those passenger floorboards sure do look sweet, and nice to have to be adjustable, as well they should be for the price - OUCH. Too bad Rivco don't make them any longer or can find a good used set for under 200 bucks, like that will happen. I ended up buying a used set for the passenger cobra's for 175 bucks new they are 225 bucks, but for me, saving 50 bucks was worth it since they were almost like new with just a few pits in the chrome bottom on one, good enough for me. Only problem I see with Cobra floorboards is that over the years, the poor chroming process from cobra peels off overtime since my driver's Cobra set has the chrome peeling off pretty bad in 11 years old now with daily use. I guess you get what you pay for?
I sure do like the I/S air wings in smoke tinted that has the flaming flares in back sure do look cool, maybe have to save up some more pennies to get them though. Also like the chrome cup holder mounted on the left side of the bike, pretty cool idea. Very nice items valkyrie bling sells, nice!

Heck, I got some Cobra light bars, new in the pack, and installed them less than a year ago... This weekend when I was adjusting my steering head bearings, I noticed their chrome is already pretty nasty back up in there... I wish Cobra stuff held up better... -Mike

Here is the issue with Cobra and chrome. They did not use a copper base. This does not seal the porous aluminum and after a short while the imperfections in the metal surface and the chrome pits and or peels.

I think both Gear Jammer and Big Mike know places to get stuff, including Cobra stuff, rechromed...
How has your re-chrome worked out so far Bobby...?
