I'm somewhat of a history buff. Especially local history and politics.
I also joined the Dearborn Historical Society so that I could have access to their archives.
But I found this in a paperback book titled "Ford, The men and the machine".

Dearborn used to have two newspapers; "The Dearborn Independent" and the "Dearborn Times".
As far as newspapers go, they were both used to sway elections and editorialize against "unionism", "socialism", "the evil black man", etc.

But this is from 1921   The Headline "Jewish Jazz-Moron Music-Becomes Our National Music"

Just how stupid were these people? I don't care for Rap or Hip-Hop, or a lot od different types of music. But to "Headline Jazz as Jewish/Moron music". I'd have to say that Dearborn probably wasn't near the idilic town that I seem to have grown up in.

It was definately a different time. My father used to tell us a children that Catholics weren't christian. Before he died at the age of 94 he told me " the catholics are the only ones that got it right".  Cities, like nations, like people, learn as they go.
