Since i cut the shield down on my interstate im getting a bunch of wind over it. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas of a lip that curls up at the top of the shield to divert the wind up and over me. I know there is a company that makes such a thing i was looking for more of a diy project. Maybe some sort of plastic that has a radius to it. I do have another shield i have been thinking about cutting down to 3 inches taller than the one on it now. Just looking for some ideas.

Seems like someone once posted about using chrome door trim
from auto parts stores. Flexible enough to bend around a
windshield. I don't remember whether it turned out good or bad. Undecided

I don't believe door trim would be worth the time to fool with it... too small an edge IMHO.

The product below does work.  I have it on my small Slipstreamer fairing and it increases the size of the "bubble" behind the fairing and reduces buffeting. An extra benefit is it keeps rain from blowing around to the inside of the fairing.

Perfect just what i was looking for. Thanks texaninsouthfl. Would you say it acts like your shield is at least 3 inches taller?

I don't know exactly how much the micro swirl edging increases the effective height of the screen ... my guess is 2 or 3 inches. My glasses/goggles used to get a little bit of buffeting as the top edge of my screen is about 2-3 inches inches below eye level... now there is no buffeting of my glasses at all. I have the edging all the way around my shield. (except bottom of course)
