Will be traveling to Marquette Michigan on a vacation with the wife.  Looking for cheaper ma/pa type hotel to stay in.  Anyone have a place to share?  How about a website to search independent hotels?

The VOAI had an event in Marquette back in 2000 or 2001. I stayed here.. http://www.imperialmotel.com/  Very nice, budget friendly, and nice owners. Bear in mind that was a number of years ago, so things may have changed.

Birchwood motel.  Senior discount if it applies.  We stay there all the time (Marquette native).

Fair price, nice rooms, small breakfast included.

located west of town before wally word, k mart, etc.

find them on the web.
