I intersected with the crowd from Tennessee near Rosman NC where
215 hits the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Both the ride to the ride and the ride involved some BRP...

They're not cutting or mowing any of the grass...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/cutting-grass-suspended-at-us-parks-nationwide-after-fatal-fall-of-maintenance-worker-in-nc/2012/05/15/gIQAmEWfRU_story.html

The valleys were filled with the sounds of Southern preaching...

Britman and Charlie and Coot kept us all together... here is a place where we
stopped for a few minutes to figure out why a few riders went missing... Coot
and a few others stayed behind with a rider whose alternator had failed. One of them
had a spare, and they fixed it there on the side of the road in an hour or so... the rest of
us continued on...

On the ride we went on quite a few fun roads... we were on 80 two or three
times... it's not a race  coolsmiley

I (D'OH) put a one-gig SD card in my camera on the second day... I thought
it was 16 gig... it filled up real quick and lots of good shots were missed.
Hal47 learned not to text and drag pegs at the same time, but I can't prove it  Roll Eyes

Another story I can't tell is: why is Hal's mirror attached with the universal fastener?

We went up to the top of Mount Mitchell... here's Chris and Paul and Duffy from Georgia...

This was parked there... I guess a CB1000R would be the closest thing you could
get to this now... I bet either would be fun to ride...

The shock of light exiting a tunnel knocks the camera for a loop... These frames
are five seconds apart... the last tunnel I went through, the camera took only white
pictures for a minute or so...

I picked a route from the map designed to  miss any towns of any size
and get me back to hiway 11 in South Carolina. It worked out great,
lots of rolling country roads through farms and stuff... some
roads as good as any we went on the day before, Mineral Springs Mountain
Road
for a while was like that... I came all the way home through the country,
the biggest place I passed through was Boiling Springs where I "turned at the stop light"...

Once I hit hiway 11 and South Carolina, my mind turned to the farm stand on the
corner of 11 and 9... always good stuff there...

The truck with the berries arrived while I was there, and the lady let me wash and eat
one of each of the varieties of peach, I brought home the best ones, delish...

These tractors were for sale across the road from the peaches, I remember reading a lot
about Olivers when I got my 8N Ford tractor... this is a diesel Oliver...

and a Ford Jubilee...

Got home and we relaxed in the metal chairs under the oak tree... Carolyn
set a delay on the camera and got this picture....

I had a great time with great folks...  cooldude
