Marcia, Jon (my 13 y.o. son) and I rolled in today around noon.  Had a GREAT time hanging out with old and new friends and seeing the sights of Western NY and Niagara Falls.  What is about 2000 miles between friends...right?  The weather was great...except for this morning.  We got hit with a heavy rainstorm just before Indy.  Got bad enough that we had to take cover under an overpass for a while until it lightened up.  After that, just threats of rain and cool riding until we got close to St. Louis.  Then it got hot.

This was Jon's first big ride.  We have done day rides but nothing this long.  I think he is hooked.  Yeah, he was bored at times and his butt hurt, but he is hooked.  Cheesy  In a few years, he will be riding his own bike.

I will be posting pictures soon.

Someone (who shall remain nameless) decided we should leave out of the hotel at 6:30am EST so we would get home before it got hot in St Louis...  It started sprinkling on us right as we left the hotel and then stormed on us shortly after...  Should have slept in a bit and we would have missed the entire storm!

And that someone (who shall remain nameless) was not Jon or I...

Glad you made it home. It was nice meeting the 3 of you. Kind of funny when Marsha got stopped at the border. We were all in the line trying to remember our license plate numbers. Mine was easy.Dsarge. She held up the line for awhile. Thought they were going to haul her off. hehe!!! Shocked

You should have been behind me on the way back in the states...  I could barely hear the guy who was questioning me and probably thought I was not that intelligent.  And for the record, he did not ask for my plate number either, and I knew it that time!
It was nice meeting you guys and look forward to next year!
