Rare   US model I believe that would be the reverse red and black interstate 2001

That does not take into account the pinstripe variations on the bikes

I dont know how many each of the european valk colors are out there

Dag would know but he is riding around Europe somewhere on his bumblebee

I am sure Black standard is the most common

Black is probably the most common. Most rare? Maybe yellow/creme combo? Others will know more than me about the rare color combos.

Black ones were made every model year on each of the three models.  The rarest I know of is the copper and black ones made for the European market.

Guess I'm a little disappointed in what is the rarest, I was hoping there would be a greater distinction, greater than just color.  Guess that showes how new I am to the World of the Valkyrie.  Not really sure what I expected though, I assumed their would be some options from the factory that would be rarer, guess I was wrong.

If you count color AND year together... it gets pretty complex.  They made the fewest in '02.  Only 600 US Valks made that year.  I think the Black with the red racing stripe is pretty rare.

There are a fair number of 01 Blue and white stripe Valks out there.  I have the only 02 Blue and white stripe Valk I have ever seen in person.  I saw one one other time on eBay.  It was off the assembly line 2 bikes after mine.

I also have a 99 green and tan IS.  I think they made 437,471 of those. Ok... so maybe not QUITE that many.  But a lot.

A friend in Westwego, La had one painted orange and black Harley colors.  It was factory but I have only seen one other like it.

I have a 99 orange/black std.  Only 240 of those made and only in 99.  I take a lot of grief from Harley riders saying that Honda tried to steal Harley colors that year and I ride a Harley wanna be.  I did not know that a company could "own" colors (sarcasm font).  But she is fairly rare.  I have seen two others in that color combination.

This seems to be the most common of the other than black models, made for three years, I believe. No interstates offered.  Correct me if I'm wrong.  Hoser.

As far as Valkyrie colors go,...I'd say that my two "Hot Rod Black" (satin black) Valks aren't all that common.

That is what I think also, along with the Black & Orange.  How many of either of those color combos have you seen at an InZane?

I went all the way to OK to pick up this one several years ago(with RJ's help).

I have seen 4 or 5 Purple / White Valks.

Only one black and orange.

Never seen a silver / black one in person.

I think it's natural to want YOURS to be a rare one.  I do.

I've got an orange and black '99 std too. A local Honda mechanic has an identical bike but that's the only other one I've seen. I live about 30 miles from Marysville Ohio where they were all built but don't see many Valks of ANY color. Anyone who says it's painted up to look like a Harley probably needs a seeing eye dog. It ain't no Harley from any angle or color. Ride safe!

I heard a legend that there were a few valkyries for the *Japanese market only* that came with a reverse (like a goldwing).

I would consider those quite rare @USA.

Yes you have my Friend. Remember when we went to that Valk ride in up in Marquette,Mi?(May of 2000 I believe) The guy from that area who put together that event was riding an Orange/Black very nicely chromed out. It looked much nicer than a bone stock one I saw at a dealer back then.
