Anybody notice how Valks have an almost magical ability to distort time/space?

Today for instance, I took the Valk to the grocery store which is only 4 miles away. Yet somehow it turned into a 50 mile round trip and involved crossing the Ell River twice even though it's far beyond the grocery store.

Einstein would have liked Valkyries.

Yup. Took a solo ride to next county over to look at some new guns. 20 miles maybe. Stopped at a little natural wonder and had a beer above the river. Text my partner and ended up going to get her for a ride. Ended up doin 4 hrs and 80+ non planned miles. Really a nice day. 80 and no humidity.

For me, this time of year in Az., They're are no short trips to the store! My first thought when it gets fired up is."GO UP!" The search for cooler temps becomes the goal. cooldude

Yesterday, I had plans to go out later in the afternoon with friends, but had time to do some work on the Valk, wash, wax, new power point, etc.... after getting things done thought I'd just take it around the block to make sure things were good..... plopped on a helmet with wet shoes and dirty, sweaty clothes.....

Just a couple of times around the block...... well, maybe a few more blocks away... don't want to short drive her........  boy, it sure is nice out today...... Maybe quick run down the highway to make sure all the rinse water gets blown away........ Well, I do need to get a sprinkler at the Home Depot.. It's not that much further......

Around the block ended up 30+ miles and over an hour..... I was late to meet the fellas for some drinks..... But I had a hellva reason for being late!

When I was still working, my 7 mile ride in could be accomplished in 10-15 minutes. The ride home however, sometimes required several hours and a fill-up!  cooldude
