Who's riding from the greater Pittsburgh, PA area to Wytheville, VA Friday morning for the Blue-Grey ride?

I live near Eighty-Four, PA just off I-70 and was planning to leave around 5:00-5:30am to get to Wytheville in time to have a rest and some lunch before pulling out towards Gettysburg at noon.  Mapquest says it's just over 4.5 hours (about 300 miles), but figuring a couple stops for gas and leg stretching, I'm guessing closer to 5 or 5.5 hours by bike.  If we can hook up along the way for a little group ride south, that would be great!  Depending on where others are coming from, a good place to meet up might be the Wal-Mart parking lot in Washington, right where I-79, I-70, and Rt. 19 all meet.  Then we could just jump on I-79 south right there.

I only have 2 rules...
1.) I don't speed much (maybe 5-10 over depending on traffic) and
2.) A buddy of mine may be joining us on his Harley Softail, so no picking on him. Grin

I'll get on I-70 at Eighty-Four, PA (I don't know the exit number) right at Rt. 519.  I-79 South splits from I-70 between Eighty-Four and Washington exits, so I'm good with either.  I mapquested Indiana, PA to Wytheville, VA and it has you going through Uniontown, PA on 43.  If nobody else is meeting up with us, I could meet you down there or even better, somewhere just south of Morgantown, WV where I-68 and I-79 intersect.  But I'm not familiar enough with that area to say where would be a good place to meet, other than along side the highway somewhere.

I just happened to notice that there were a few from this area that were signed up for the ride.  But I have no idea whether they are going to Wytheville first (or when), or straight to Gettysburg.  But for anyone headed south before going north, I figure there's no sense everybody riding along solo if we are all headed in the same general direction at about the same time.

And oh, yeah...I'M BRINGING IT!!!!  LET'S RIDE!!!!!! cooldude

I want to go, but I haven't been able to get ahead of the work load. Don't know what my wife has planned for that weekend.
IF I go, I might just fly down so as not to hold people up waiting on me and enjoy the festivities.
I'd hate to miss that ride... Sad
We'll see what the future holds.

You should hook up with Dino...He's up there in Indiana.  Maybe you could ride with him and we all can hook up along the way somewhere.

still waiting on my wife to move up Saturday, spend the weekend appreciating her, then mention that next week I want to throw her on the bike and head to Gettysburg.
I'll let you know how that turns out. I'll keep you posted.

Deffinately won't come down to VA on thursday for the Friday back up to PA. Would love to, sounds like a great ride, but don't have the time with the studying.
Still trying to figure out if I'm going to Gettysburg or not.
Might, at this point, make a day and 1/2 out of it. Come to Gettysburg on Friday, hang out at Ground Zero for the evening, do a tour on Saturday, then head home late Saturday back for PA and back to studying.

Still trying to balance the books and the bike.

It probably doesn't make a difference, but we are riding to Wytheville, VA Friday morning (not Thursday), then to Gettysburg Friday afternoon.  Dino is riding to Washington, PA Thursday evening to meet me early Friday morning at 5:30am to head south.
