Greetings, all.

I'm nearly 11 months into my Valkyrie and loving every minute of it.  Only problem - Now I want a Rune.  Wink

No... seriously... I have a question -

Can you good folks recommend a cover for my bike?  Even in the garage it gets more dust than I'd like, so I want something to put over it for added protection.

Thanks!

Low tech is use an old bed sheet.  Keeps off dust and doesn't hold in moisture.  Someone will chime in and say ride the dust off.

Ride the dust off! Cheesy

Seriously though, I use the cheapy WallyWorld cover and it does just fine.  I don't put it on if the pipes are hot, I don't want to test the melting point of the silver fabric.

I use a vented Dowco cover. Available in a lot of places. I got the last one on sale at JC Whitney for less than $20. Works great indoors, or even on a trip. If it rains, the water goes through to the bike, but it still keeps the dirt, and prying eyes off. Packs into an included pouch about 6 x 9 x 3.

I highly recommend one of the Wanderer series full covers from E-Z Touring.  They have several different sizes of the Wanderer that'll fit your bike.  I have the Wanderer X for my bike that has a full fairing, saddlebags and trunk.  It's a great cover, light weight and packs small for travel too.

They have half covers too as well as several other styles for all kinds of bikes too.

My dust covers are old King waterbed sheets (bottom and top sewed together).

I miss that old bed.... once you got going doin the deed, it was like power-assisted wave action.   Grin

I've got a Dowco, but it very seldom ever gets used.

A quick wipe with my chamois towel and away we go.

I got one off Ebay for a little over $5 with shipping. It's not a hundred dollar cover, but I just wanted something I could use at work to keep the bike dry if it rained while I'm at work. I just roll it up and stick it on the shelf. It's there is I need it. I got the XX large yet it is a tight fit. (The old girl is big , and a little wider then most). It still keeps the important stuff dry, so I don't have a wet seat on the way home.
