Hehehe... Flying's a BLAST! Enjoy the acceleration during take off!

I've flown all over the place, spent literally almost a week airborne in the last 2 years alone, and wish it was more...

Relax, and enjoy the experience. That's what life is, the experiences we have and the memories of them, and flying is one that mankind dreamed of for most of our history, you're one of the few people in history that will get to experience that dream, savor it!

"...sigh...Oh Me....Time to fly"  LOL!   Grin

Have a good flight, Joe.  Maybe you can catch some shut-eye on the plane to help the time go by.

Let me see if I got this right ... my buddy from Tennessee, the one that throws Valks around the Dragon, Hell Bender and every twisty curvey road in the mountains he can find, banging hard parts and throwing off sparks ... drives super big rigs hauling over-sized trailers and loads around those same Tennessee hills ... does all that with nary a thought .... this fine southern gentleman is just a little skittish about climbing into a big tube and then getting shot through the air at amazing speeds?  Shocked

Shoot, the body cavity search at the security check points are what make me nervous.

Look at it as just another adventure and all will be fine. cooldude

Here is Smokinjoe, a guy that does things I would never do, and he's afraid of flying?

Anyway, Smokinjoe, you will see that flyin' is no big deal.  Just keep the "lunch bag" nearby and you'll do just fine.  Grin

If you have them you can check them at the counter or mail them home. I had to throw away a metal tubed pen (less than $2) . They claimed it could be used as a weapon. And I worked for the crocks at the time.

They don't anounce it ...just watch out for the guy behind the screen with the rubber gloves...

My 1st time to Hawaii I got searched in Mobile, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, & Honolulu.

On the trip back I got searched in Honolulu, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta.

NINE TIMES!!!  ... AFTER THE 1ST FEW I JUST STARTED TO STRIP AND ASSUME THE POSITION WHEN STARTED THROUGH SECURITY.

I learned latter that I had the magic # on my ticket which was the TSA's way of none profiling.  If I were a Nun I still would have gotten the treatment.

I will be in your shoes tomorrow at this time flying to Seattle, to catch a ship to Alaska for a two weeks of R&R.  i am hoping I do not have the magic # again...

You'll do fine Joe, enjoy the speed!!  And, you can scope out new roads to ride while flying over them, although they look like a can of worms from way up there>>>>......   cooldude

Draggin' pegs on the Dragon you should be able to handle this.

I know it's tough but try to get a window seat and dig the experience.  I've flown dozens of times and never have gotten over the thrill of seeing the earth from 38,000 feet.

You were in more danger driving to the airport than you will be on the plane.

Enjoy! cooldude

I had a window seat from Omaha to St. Paul and was on a huge plane. From St.Paul to Knoxville the plane was much smaller it kinda looked like one maybe the Stones used back in the 70's....That was a been there done that I did'nt care for it at all . I made it 48 years without ridin' a airplane I might try it again in 48 more  Wink

Hey Joe, da next time get INSIDE of da plane.  They have engines on em, you don't need to set out there on the wing and flap your arms trying to help em out.....

Flying is where I get my best ZZZZ's.    I can sleep like a new born baby on a plane........

Sounds like you had a couple of nice flights, just surprised there wasn't a direct flight back to Knoxville. That changing planes can be a real pain in the A$$; if you arrive just a little bit late you are running across the airport and hope you don't have to go back through security; if the next flight is delayed then you are just sitting around waiting .... and waiting .... and etc.
