As many know, WING DING will be in Ft. Wayne this July. Wing Ding has invited other manufacturers to demo their rides too.
I've deleted the rest of my post. Gotta stay PC.

Hmmm, even though Wing Ding will be headquartered 1.8 miles from my house, I wasn't planning on attending. BUT, if Triumph will have a "Demo Fleet" there, I'm in. Wayne, if ya here who's gonna be there, keep me(us)informed.

Didn't affect me any. I wasn't a Valk owner until July 18th, 1998

First time I went to the Mississippi State Wing Ding, I got stopped by a bunch of people to talk. Nobody acted like I was a red headed step child when I told them I ride a Valkyrie. One guy said , "Oh you ride the hot rod goldwing." There's people there that respect the Valk. Most are like Steamer. Ride from DQ to DQ. Marty

If you go with your gal, you will need to wear matching yellow vests. Oh, and don't forget the pillow case with patches sewn on it to pull over your windshield.

I have plans to ride to Auburn on Friday morning. I plan to spend the night there. Visit some of the museums they have, Auburn Cord museum and some others. We will then get up Saturday morning, and the tentative plan is to ride down to the rally, and spend a couple hours going through the vendors. There are still alot of things that are universal fit, lights, tires, ect. As well as maybe some new boots, coat, gloves and other stuff. Then I think we will head north west towards Das Eseenhaus in Middlebury for dinner. Then we'll head home.

I went to the 1st Wing Ding that was in Ft.Wayne several years ago(this will be the 3rd one) with the same idea of cruising the vendors. I was in for a rude awakening. There was no problem getting into the parking lot, but the vendors were all inside the Coliseum and not open to the public. I recall that you could buy a day pass but it was terribly expensive. I ended up joining the GWRRA for a year at the door. It was cheaper than the day pass. That entitled me to get inside where the vendors were. I don't know if it was run the same way the 2nd time it was here(I didn't go) but I would think so and probably the same this year too. Just be ready to spend some $$$ to be able to look.

I am a GWRRA member. I had a '93 Wing before the Valkyrie. Yea, There is a fairly high admission ( I'm thinking 20 or 25 bones this year. I usually bargain with the vendors though to get my fare back. It usually works. I do this at the swap meets as well.

It was here in Knoxville last year & was held in two locations about 5 miles apart. The vendor show was in one place (the World's Fair Park) & you had to buy a ticket to get in. The demo's were in the other location (Chilowee Park, which was the old "Hoot" location) & was open & free to anyone. Only had to have a MC endorsment on your license (if your state required) to ride. You might do some homework & see how this year's Wing Ding is set up. Needless to say, I only went to the demo's. Suprisingly, Harley had the biggest fleet of demos there - more than Honda. There was not many manufacturers represented though - I can only remember Honda, Harley, & Can Am now - might have been another. I had never ridden a Can Am Spyder, so I took the opportunity to do so.

save your money
Americade is 10 bux to get into the 2 vendor areas, free shuttle bus, but I just rode the Valk from one to the other. Ultimate, Rivco, J&M, Baker Garmin Avon, helmets, chaps gloves, doodads, art just about anything you want and some real good cheap food
Yesterday I saw a bunch of Valkyries including a nice white trike and got lots of questions and compliments on the Dragon.
