well, as many of you know, today is election day here in Wisconsin and my daughter WANTED to vote!!  she told me that she was sick of hearing all the wining from one particular party and she felt the need to cast her vote!!

now, i didn't force her to vote any particular way, she made up her own mind, but i probably did influence her a little.....  Wink Wink

absolutely no lines, walked in, got our ballot, marked the mark, then walked out.  took about two minutes (for me) and about ten for her 'cause she had never voted before and had to register.

i told her that her first vote is a historic one!!  you don't get to vote in a recall election very often!! it's almost like Venus Transit, also happening today!!

now lets see if the person she voted for wins!!  that's were the real frustrations take effect!!

the local TV station was there, i was happy to get her to vote, i know there was NO WAY i'd get her to do an interview on TV!! we'll see if she's on the 5pm news, if so, i'll post it here!!  cooldude

no, you have to have proof of residency, that is, unless you're an illegal alien, then you just have to speak a forgein language and your government funded translator directs you who to vote for......

(BTW, when you read my posts and you see "......." as an end of a sentance that's a "tongue-n-cheek" statement since we don't have a "satire smiley" for that)

Glad she voted. Sad to see millions in America that don't vote
while billions around the world would love to vote but are not allowed.

Congratulations to you and your daughter on her first ballot to be cast.  It's a privilege most here don't appreciate, let alone exercise.  I was asked once why I was going to the trouble of waiting in this long line to vote.  Told them my son was in Iraq helping those who had just been given the right to vote, so I didn't think having to wait in line to cast my ballot was too much of an inconvenience.  Actually it's a moral obligation.  I guess it's all relative.
