a guy at work has one of those bikes.  pretty neat actually!!  i can't believe he paid $650 just for the 50cc chainsaw engine with a belt and pully!!  he had to put it on a regular bicycle (which he purchased for another $600) but he's really proud he gets 100+ mpg......

i bought my first cycle for $600, i'm sure if he looked around he could find a half way decent motorcycle for $1000, he would have saved $200, that would have bought a lot of gas!!!

Detroit has always been a hub of motorcycle inovation and "Detroiters" don't always follow conventional wisdom.
The article below is about an abandoned track that has become a "Mecca" for "motorized bicyclists" and smallbore "cafe racers".
