Kit told me some bad news alittle over a week ago she may not be able to go to Sturgis with me.  Cry She looks after her companies wife. Her boss, the husband, said she can have it off a few months ago. Looks like he is having hrt surg at the end of July/early Aug. He will be down and out and unable to take care of his wife while Kit is gone. He said he will see what he can do so she can go since he knew I was a tad upset. Last night she said she is not going. She said he looks like crap. So it looks like I will be ridin out solo. It kinda sucks. Saved a bunch of money to go to the Little Bighorn, stop in Kaycee WY, and hit the scenic roads of Nebraska. Only staying 5 days in Sturgis. We go every year to see our old friends. We never ride alot, just visit. I'm gonna try and get her a plane ticket so she can come for the weekend. She is my baby sitter at times out there when I need it. Been good last few yrs tho. Plus GiG will be there, what can happen!  2funny We bought a brick with our wedding date on it and its placed on the sidewalk this year since we were married out there. Been nice to see it together for the 1st time. Plus it will be my 2 yr annv while I will be on the road home. I been there solo in 06 when we 1st started dating, guess I can do it again. Wont be the same tho. Wont be no pics like this, this year.  Cry

Tough stuff, Fudgie.  I sure don't know a good solution.  The only times I rode without Navigator from 1966 - 2009 were with buddies at Fort Campbell in 1969 and the Run To The Wall in 1997 and 1998 on a 1,000 cc BMW.  The experiences during those rides were intense.

That SUCKS.  I know how much you two enjoy Sturgis.  Fly her out if possible.

We are heading out and plan on being there the week before again.  I like the smaller crowds.

check it out ....
http://www.chrisledoux.com/fr_themonument.cfm

I was there for the dedication and got to meet most of the family and even talked to the Mrs for a bit. There is a store in town that sells a bunch of memorabilia. Stop in and get yourself a t-shirt.
