We had somewhat of a local guitar legend growin' up around here who rocked all the honky-tonk's for miles around ( I heard he's dead now from drugs  Sad  ) . He could bend some strings and make that guitar scream.

Henry Lee Summer was a year or two ahead of me in school. His real name is Hank Swartz and his folks live just down the road from me. He was a great musician, great guitarist and a good guy. Never did drugs when we were young, least not that I ever heard of. He played with local bands and then got national attention. Looks like he discovered meth then and threw it all away.

my father was an excellent guitar player.  taught himself.  i use to sit and watch him play for hours.  was never able to contort my hand around the neck of a guitar to play it, never felt right to me.....
