Can anyone give me the pros and cons of a desmog on a valk. I was eye balling a kit on ebay while looking for a fuel line disconnect. Is the benifits really good or is it just eliminating stuff that gives trouble. Thanks.

I did the Redeye shiny kit earlier this year as well as installed Dan mark electric fuel shut off. I'd do it again without hesitation.

All the best,

In 128K miles, none of that stuff has caused me any trouble. Replaced vacuum lines once with OEM tubing. It also doesn't hurt any running ability or reduce HP or torque. I have a California model with some extra stuff too.

I had a bad experience with the red eye fuel quick disconnect.  I found when on the expressway and the tank was low, not enough gas would flow through it to go over about 70MPH.  Removed it and all was fine.

Did the desmog and the electric fuel shut off also. To me the my Valk has a whole new personality. Smoother quicker, just alot better all around. I would also do it again without hesitation.  cooldude :cooldude:Raymond
