So, it's the Magic against the Lakers for the NBA title. This should be interesting. I actually think the Magic have a chance against the Lakers, but don't think they could beat out Denver had it gone their way.

It had to be disheartening to the Cavs at the first, having the best record in the NBA and going undefeated in the Eastern Conf. playoffs. Then being beat on their own floor in the very first game with the Magic. I will say, the Cavs have a tough and talented team, they need another player like Lebron James and they'd be unbeatable with the rest of their talent.

Being a Fl. ex-pat, I'd had my eye on the Magic thru the playoffs. Their game has become much more well-rounded since last year. Awful lot of talent inside and out, the Lakers could have a problem getting around Howard, Turk and Lewis. cooldude

You know that has to be in the back of their minds. Which ever way it goes, I think the winning team will have their hands full regardless. Years ago my dad was a coach in Iowa, small school district is SW Iowa. He only lost in the playoffs each of the five years he was there. His big "secret" as he jokingly referred to it....you take a shot you had better follow it. If you didn't do it twice you were benched for five minutes. In watching the Magic I get so frustrated, they take a shot and almost never follow their shot, and the majority of the time when the ball is in the air I see rest of the team headed back down the court. It's almost as though they take it for granted the ball will go in. My dad used to tell both his girls and boys teams...when that ball leaves the shooter's hands, I want to see no less than two other players headed toward the basket along with the shooter who better be following his shot.

Yep, you're right, and every pro team does the same thing. No follow thru. When you can convince 'em to do it, they find themselves in control!!
