I just heard Andy Griffith has passed.  Loved his shows.  Great actor.  He could play a great good guy or a real a-hole!

Dang.

I've watched several Andy Griffith shows in the last few days.

I always watch closely at the opening credits to see if they show the splash
from Opie's second rock, usually they cut before that is shown. I always figure
that someone from off camera must have thrown a cinder block into the lake
to get a splash big enough to show up...

Watched pretty much all the Mayberry RFDs, Andy Griffiths and Matlocks over the years.  Sad... he was definitely one of the good ones.

RIP Andy.    86 years young.
I have gotten several of his hows for Xmas on CD's.

I pull them out and watch one or two if nothing on TV.

Damn, I'm pushing these guys age, maybe I best sow down.  LOL

A true American icon in my opinion.  Still laugh about his story, "What it was, was football".

A fine fine fellow, RIP Andy!  Reckon you did alright.

My favorite quote, I'm not as smart or as nice a man as I played on TAGS. He was the man I wished I had for a dad, when I was without.  Sad

Thanks Marty for posting!    Times have changed, I grew up listening to Jerry Clower and watching Andy Griffith.   Clean humor, and, what used to be acceptable morals and views.

My my, look at the progress we have made.

see ya,

He was definitely one of the GOOD guys.

I knew a girl whose grandfather grew up with Andy Griffith, she said that He would visit her grandfather whenever he came back to his hometown.

She said that he was just as nice in person as he was on TV.
