In an effort to save money and redistribute some wealth to "president" Obamas home country (Michelle's words "home country") we will replace the over bloated gas guzzling armored Caddy with one of these beauties and oh how proud Obama will be that it is from his own country

I think we need to keep the protective, bullet proof vehicles we have now... at least until the election is over.   You know we don't need or want Joe filling those shoes if something were to happen......    Grin

Fox news, what a joke. Can't believe people not only read fox news, but believe what they write. They should run an hour of retractions a day to cover their false stories.

Dude, I was making a joke about this new SUV.........FOX News is not trying to say its going to be the Presidential vehicle.  Or, are you saying theres no such vehicle being produced by the Kenya based company just because it was reported on by FOX.

heres their website http://mobiusmotors.com/

You (and the lefties) crack me up.......you are guilty of everything you accuse FOX of.....just the other way

I repeat...it was a joke........but why not turn it into a fight right, never pass up the opportunity.......later

Didn't realize ABC, NBC, CBS had as many retractions and FOX. Also can remember them using the term "many people have said" as a source.

Guess I missed something.

I don't watch FauxNews or MSNBC, but here is an example of Fox lying:

Let me say this, I personally disagree with the approach that President Obama took on this, but the fact that FauxNews lied about it is hard to dispute.

Thespian does have a point...
The question was asked to see examples of FoxNews lying, I presented several, and the best response you and come up with is that.  If you presented links that shows FoxNews getting prestigious journalism awards, truth in broadcasting recognition, etc, I would listen.  I personally consider myself to be a moderate, but dislike the dishonest nature of FauxNews. Just for the record, I think MSNBC is just as slanted...

No offense intended, Hoser, I was just agreeing with Thespian that it's easier to ridicule someone who disagrees with you than it is to admit that you may be wrong about something. I have been trying to avoid personal attacks and have a civilized discussion, which I feel is more productive, better for myself.  As far as hitting you with my best shot, I am not going to resort to personal attacks just because we don't agree on something.  Personally, I think that Blue and Silver Valks are WAY better looking than {fill in the blank} color, but I have decided to avoid insulting anyway, just because they disagree.  Ride safe, brother...

What people overlook is that MOST of the "news" organizations in this country aren't. They're entertainment.

Once you realize that, and read/watch the news with an eye towards that, you'll become a much better informed citizen, IMHO...

Exactly.

Their ability to read the news (notice I didn't say report the news) is dependent upon their ability to sell advertising.

Their ability to sell advertising depends upon their ability to generate ratings.

So true. News is easy to get, it's on lots of sources. What's hard to get is information and information is power.

1 on the BBC, but I generally avoid watching the news.  I would rather read news stories off the net.  I know alot of the internet is biased, but the AP stories you get are usually just straight facts, without the spin.  As far as Fox, it is more than "error" and "misrepresented" stories, as I see it, it is a pattern of intentionally misleading viewers.  the one example I posted, where they cut off the Obama quote right before he said what would have changed the whole story isn't a mistake or an oversight, it was intentional.  Bottom line, like others have said, it is all about entertaining the viewers...

Ya know, it's a cryin' shame this post had to become another thread of political crap, arguing, name calling, etc., etc.

The vehicle is actually a pretty good idea-maybe not for all of us but it sure does look like it would fit well in a lot of countries.

like the NY times or CNN don't have a political bias. "there are none so blind as he that will not see"

why don't you watch/read/listen to both sides and then make up your mind who is telling the truth?
