There is a company that manufactures 8 gallon composite fuel tanks complete w/ aero cap for the Valkyrie. I originally them through the VRCC site but apparantly the link was taken down. Does anyone have this link. I contacted them about 8 months ago & they still manufacture the tanks. Unfortunately my hard drive crashed & that is one of the things I could not recover.

Thanks in advance;

Those tanks were prone to leakage,  a few here tryed them and had nothing but trouble, even after sending them back and getting them resealed.  A Belly tank is a much better option, not only works great, but will also lower your center of gravity.  Also a few had ther orginal tank split and panels welded in them to widen for more capacity.  Expensive, but worked.

Here's the link:  http://www.advancedcompositeseng.com/motorcycle.htm

Never mind...I just tried that link and it doesn't work...hmmmm???

I've also heard the stories about the bad tanks.  However, there is a guy over on VOAI board (handle - Bones) that has one and no complaints.  His bike is pretty nice.

Assuming the tank is to go on a Standard or Tourer, I would buy an I/S tank, I/S or Dyna ICM and a set of I/S carb springs then install them.

My 2000 Tourer has all the above plus a set of DynoJet jet needles. Saturday saw the bike get an average of 40MPG during a 70MPH, 320 mile run. I could ride the bike until I became bored. Not so my companions, who were stopping every 50-70 miles for fuel.

Loved my ACE tank until it leaked a second time and ruined my paint job.
