like a new pair of tennis shoes when you were a kid?

Smooth, new, shiny and fast?

I did my rear end maintenance this AM.  Pulled the driveshaft and pinion cup.  got her all anti-seized up and cleaned out.  New O-Rings... and Moly lube.

She is SMOOTH SMOOTH SMOOTH.

Yup. Noticed the same thing but I suspect it's in my mind.  Shocked
What I can confirm is how much smoother a Valk feels with a new set of shoes on!  cooldude

That is true too.  I have a new front Metzeler en'route right now.  Probably get it tomorrow.  Then yank the wheel and get it put on this week sometime.  WooHoo!

I have never had the rear end of my standard the whole way apart.  I dodn't know I needed to until last year when the pinion cup on my IS went south.  Lesson learned.

We did Squealy's last weekend.  Mine today, and I have 2 buddy's to do still too.

I always doe the maintenance before the riding season.  Then if I need something I am not in a rush to get it done, take my time.

I have the advantage of having 2 valks.  If I had to slow down... I could have ridden the other one.

Less than 2 hours.  In and out.

this was the 3rd time I have been in one in the last year.

I am getting to know my way around them...

Same here just had to do my clutch (thanks to everyone on tech board) and is like a new bike feels like I gained 10 HP must of been bad for a while.  and was the dreaded rivet failure common for my year.  Saved big bucks doing it my self parts from HDL were 250 total and 20  bucks for my Honda guru came to my house and but clutch together.  Happy Happy!!!!
