I have two full time jobs and one part time.
Other than riding, I am the world's most boring CPA, and that is really saying something.

Over the last 20+ years, I've designed and built a whole bunch of furniture and built in cabinetry.  Majority of the pieces are for personnel use; the remainder are used as gifts.  Here's the latest project:

And these are some of my best works:

Gustav Stickley (Stickley furniture) once said "The true sense of ownership is not what you buy at the Department Store.  It's what you build yourself with a purpose and function in mind"

I mostly do ham radio in my spare time.  I have accumulated quite a few pieces over the years. I like buying older equipment and fixing it in my spare time.   As a side to that, I end up dealing with severe weather as it comes thru my county. Used to chase storms, but got burned out!

As I am typing this, I am listening to some people I know in 7.195 Mhz

I am also trying to master the electronic keyboard....and it is winning!!

There are a few other things I do, but I consider them work nowadays....dad and I build horse drawn wagons, and as a sideline to that, we are building a 1907 International High wheel car.....it looks like a wagon, but has an engine on it.

I have included a pic of some of the ham stuff, but I  have added some pieces since then, and moved things around.  I also have them installed in my trucks.   Drives my wife nuts sometimes, but I can talk around the world while driving most days!!

I'm amazed at the artistic abilities of many of our members.

No matter if it's woodworking, building, remodeling or whatever,  everything I do seems to look "industrial".

I enjoy doing this...

and this

and this

me and my dad

and we just picked this up

I am sooo jealous of you guys that can "make" stuff. What talent! It all looks so beautiful. I have a hard time putting entertainment centers together, nevermind sawing a straight line through wood.

I have built some furniture... but it's VERY utilitarian and ugly.  But it it'll last multiple lifetimes.   2funny 2funny

I have designed my house, added a second story, remodeled the whole downstairs.  I designed all my custom cabinetry too, but I hired someone to build it for me.  I do not have the patience, or eye fro detail to do that sort of work.

horseback riding takes center stage with us, biking is a close second. Used to compete, but now just like to camp and go into the woods and look at trees and wildlife and each other!  My wifes sportster fits into our horse trailer so if we go to New York, Tennesee, or out west we can take the bike and horses.. Lots of family close by and all have land and animals, It's neverending add ons and repair.. I fish inland mostly and do most of deer and turkey hunting at home. Water skiing and tubing is 5 minuets away for kids, grandkids and me. When it's hot it's bike or boat, when it cools off it's horses. Skeet and target shooting times are always available. Skeet with pistols is always a challenge with a couple of 45/410
