have one of those most perfect days on a Valkyrie that you did NOT want to end???? I had one today. Fantastic weather-stayed dry even though they had called for rain-and zero hassles anywhere. Springfield Mo. is 80 somethin miles from my La Casa and just a 4 lane divided highway. No serious twistys and i just needed to GO!! I'll tell you how much i didn't want it to end-i passed the get off to my house-3 times. Only 297 miles today but my fat lady was totally flawless. No picatures to go with this ride but the memory of it i'll take to my grave. Yeah-no doubt about it-all the miles under my backside and i'm still hooked!! H-ll iffin i didn't have the fat lady i just MIGHT be one of the town drunks. RIDE SAFE.

Well said! It makes no difference how far you go, how many pictures you take, or even what you're riding although I do miss the sound of that boxer six.
Your ride combined quantity and quality. I'm settling for quality these days and I'm getting used to the sound of an L twin, it has its own sound, maybe a little more relaxed because of a sixth gear.
Like you, I've always likened the ride as some kind of close to illegal activity. The Ride is an attitude adjuster with the only aftereffect a pleasant memory.
Ride on and keep safe!

Wayne-i absitively posalutely agree on your insight on this. Love that line-close to illegal activity. I have an outdoor table on my front porch and i was sitting with a very cold adult beverage AFTER the ride and this morning also the grin giggles and guffaws are STILL there. Thanks Wayne enjoy and RIDE SAFE.

H-ll iffin i didn't have the fat lady i just MIGHT be one of the town drunks. So true... I don't get the day to day miles I would like to get, but when I do get a chance to fire up the Beast, I call it 'Mental Floss' Work n home keep me busy 27 hours a day, but on the rare occasion I can get out after work, a simple 10 mile ride to the store, can turn in to a 75 mile ride to sooth the soul Black Dog

Most of my miles are commuting. 13 miles each way. Often with a trip or two to a jobsite or meeting mixed in.
There is nothing like getting paid hourly AND mileage to ride the Valk.
even the 13 mile ride home soothes me, and makes me a much more patient, and better Dad.
Yes... I have had MANY perfect days on the Valk in my 9 year affair with her. Most on my Standard, but a few on the IS as well. Hopefully, we'll add a few next week on our trip.
See ya'll there.

Didja ever have one of those most perfect days on a Valkyrie that you did NOT want to end? I know exactly what you mean. I call it "cycletheraphy" It has been over 100 degrees for a long period of time here and the last couple of days it has dropped down to high 80-low 90's. My gal and I have ridden the last two evenings and it has been great. Last night it was a ride to a little town about 40 miles away that has a great pizza place. We rode over, had our pizza and met some people who inquired about my bike. I told them about the Valkyrie and some of our rides and the guy says "I envy you, you are a lucky man. I always wanted to do that but she is afraid to ride." I thought about saying well you need to get a new wife (just kidding).

Don't ya just love it when you have a special moment on your Valk? I've had a few.....that were better than the others. Kind of like playing golf and you are just playing an average game and suddenly you make that special shot that keeps ya coming back for more.

I was pulled over once and the phone rang. It was the lovely wife and I answered. She said what she called for and it dawned upon her that I was on the bike. With the speaker on its no prob with the full face. Anyway, She asked how I was talking on the phone if I was Valkin. I told I had the window up. As far as the original subject,, 28 miles to work and getting there is the hardest part of the day. Anytime on the Valk is quality.

this is funny from my perspective though i feel for my friends.
I can't tell you how many times we'll head out and it'll be 3-4 hours and the time has just meandered by. I get in the corbin saddle of my lady, crank the throttle and i'm in another world, floating though space. such a sweet ride.
Oh my friends, they have the sorest asses and are screaming, why didn't you do a rest stop......I just say i was resting on the lady. Sorry my friends that yours isn't as sweet a ride

Had one of those unforgettable days on the fat lady myself. Was able to give all six of my Grandkids a ride on her today. Even the 1.5 yr. old up front holding on to the tank and slobbering on everything ( cutting teeth). He had to ride on a gravel road as didn't have a helmet for him. Had his Sister on back and him up front. Gave me a great feeling of accomplishment. Memories we all will remember. Later Blister
