Went to Wally World to pick up some  Super tech 7317 oil filters.   Out of stock...so picked up Purolator L14610 . I have heard some on the board use them, first time for me.  I did notice thaty there are 8 smaller oil holes where the Super Tech has six larger ones .  Just wanted to know who uses these and how do you likie them .  Purolators are good filters I use them in my cars and trucks.

I use the Pure One series of filters. PL14610 in the Valk and PL14612 on the Wing. Yours will work but the PL series is the best quality available.

I use an oversized pure one, actually oil pressure gage shows a slight reduction in pressure compared to OEM. This means less restriction and slightly cooler running oil. allows a true 4 qts of oil.

I've posted the oversize part # before, a search will bring it up.
its the same size as the super tech ST3593A I used to use.
its a common filter, subaru's use it.

Ditto on the Pure One filters.   cooldude

I believe that the larger filter is the PL14610......and the OEM sized filter is PL14612.

If you use one, you'll find that most oil filter covers won't fit over the bigger Pure One filter.

I think the larger one that CA is talking about is the 14459.  It's bigger in diameter and has more volume than even the 14610.

It's interesting that the 14610 is the filter for a 2002 Honda Civic
and the 14459 is the filter for a 2002 Honda Accord.
