I've got a bit of a problem with flies here at the house.  Flypaper catches everything flying but not the flies, and my reflexes have inproved from the fly whacking here in the house. I've done everything I can think of, like move the trash can out of the garage, etc, but they won't LEAVE.  HELP!!!!!

Hang a clear bag like a large zip lock full of water in the windows so the sun will shine through it. Dont know why it works but it does.  Undecided  we had a problem with them in our garage last year and I hung a couple bags of water and they were all gone in a couple days. Maybe they were thirsty and couldnt get to the water and got so mad they left. good luck

Do you have a dog or cat?  Have you seen them lately?

Down in New Orleans a lot of the small shops hang clear bags of water with pennies in them.  For some reason it keeps the flies out.

Just make sure you take the garbage out of the garage and don't leave the scrap food, etc. in the garbage can for a few months.  I opened the plastic garbage bag up and about barfed.  100's of thousands of small maggots  all over the 32 gallon bag.  Too bag they were not bigger could've used tehm for panfish bait?

Never heard of the water in a bag trick, might give it a try next time.

the water in a clear bag make the reflection of the fly look bigger than the fly so in order to not be eaten he flies away...

I recently suffered through a fly infestation. Bought some fly paper on the advice of a friend and it caught zero flies, they just buzzed around it ignoring it.

Next I bought a can of bug spray for flying bugs at Lowes. Nasty stuff but it did the trick. Sprayed it all over the kitchen and coughed like hell, stink spread all over the house. Loaded the cooler with beer and went out on the back porch. Couple hours later it was safe to go back in. Haven't seen a fly since.

Household/carpet flea spray works amazingly well. Just a few shots in whatever room the flys are in and you are done. Doesn't take much.
