Will be headed up that direction (Snowshoe Mountain) soon if nothing changes.  Any good resturants, favorite rides, etc.?

Thanks,
Mark

When are you coming?  I will be landing back in WV on the 6th and praying for good weather so I can do a lot of riding while I am home.

Be sure to ride the Highland Scenic Highway, and maybe Wolf can help me with the name of the observatory where the huge radar dish is. It's pretty cool to see.

Watch the weather, it will jump out around a mountain at ya! You'll be cruising along enjoying the ride then round a curve and run into rain bam. It lurks sneakily around the mountains at times and you can't always see it coming.  But that happens riding in any mountains.
WV is a great state.
The tourism department used to publish a map of suggested roads/routes for bikers. They were working to attract biker tourism for a long while. Gotta love that.

This is a pretty good website:

Almost any road in WV is a good road to ride, especially if you like twisties.

Try to hook up with Wolf1910 if you can. He knows the area and is a pretty good guide.

Live in Lewisburg ...70 miles south of Snowshoe, 100 miles east of Charleston......Dead center on the intersection of Rt.219 and Rt. 60, two of the best bike roads in the state.  If you make it to Pocahontas county  and you like to drag metal parts, a must do is Rt. 219 ....Go to Hillsboro and ride south as you start up the mountain ......turn it loose.  Great twisties ...ride to the state park...only about 3 miles but the banking is great and never any gravel. U turn at the park and back down the mountain to do it all over again.
