I swear this works!  If you suspect you have food poisioning, get a shot glass, put in 2 tablespoons of tobasco sauce. Fill with water, fill another glass with water. Down the shot glass and follow with the regular glass.  In just a little bit, you will feel better.

I read an article about oyster poisioning East coast vs. Gulf coast. East coast had higher instances of food poisioning. They said the difference was the hotter sauces used in the Gulf.  They allowed a beaker to get cloudy with bacteria, same as food poisioning, dropped in 1 drop of tobasco sauce. In one minute, the beaker was clear and bacteria free.
I have used this cure twice.  Once at home with some turkey gravy I did not reheat well. Another with some truckstop fried chicken.

Why so much when a drop cleared a beaker? Your stomach holds a lot more than a 500ml beaker. Plus, I believe in a fast cure.

Hmmm, could it be the rehydrating effect of the water alleviating the dehydration caused by excessive alcohol consumption?

Nope, just came in from work for the turkey incident, stone sober.  Truck Stop chicken, I was headed home and did not drink alcohol that night either. My dad, OTR driver, said he never gets the chicken at the counter.

I've been known to eat food having questionable histories with no adverse effect.  I also drench everything but ice cream in Tobasco before consuming.  There maybe something to this.
