Wife had a South American Horned Frog in a terrarium for like 10 years. Ferocious little bastard did not have teeth but a jagged jaw that could bite hard and draw blood. Went from quarter sized to huge and sucked up whole giant night crawlers (there was a pair at first but the boy eventually ate the girl whole).
Got big enough to eat
pinkies (little white mice) but she could not bring herself to feed him those (would have just become additional pets). Never closed his eyes, you could not tell if he was sleeping, and he would attack from motionless so fast he'd get 3/4 of your finger before you could react. He could not distinguish between night crawlers and fingers. I did not feed him, it was hers.
I like frog legs pan fried.
