My Valkyrie I sold came with stock pipes that had something done to them and truck stacks on them. I LOVED THE SOUND THEY MADE and want it for my current Valkyrie. I am including pics looking into the truck stacts. It appears some of the inside was removed as what you see sits back a little ways and appears to be some sort of baffles. Does anyone have a pretty definate idea as to what it appears was done to them ???? was just some of it removed?? Does it appear that anything was added?(I'm guessing nothing added)

Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

On a road less traveled.

Dave, from what I can see it appears that the "pig tails" were cut shorter for a better sound, not sure though. I am sure one of the other guys will chime in with better knowledge.

I figured they cut out some of the sections as well, but the short baffle in there does not look stock. Was hoping someone could chime in that may be familiar with the mod, but it may have just been a one-off the previous owner came up with himself rather then one of the popular mods that were done in the day. Thanks

It looks to me like the original can was cut short and then the insides gutted........basically, an extreme Ragnar cut.

It looks like the front baffles are still in there and intact, but the rear section of the pipe that contained the rear set of baffles has been totally removed/cut off.

Here's a couple pages on the Ragnar cut....maybe they'll give you some idea as to what happened to your pipes.....

There's two members that I'd pm to ask further questions.  Fudgie and MarkT.  I think Fudgie has cut his exhaust can and he might can give you some insights as to what the inside looks like.  Also, MarkT builds exhausts for our Valks and is no doubt an authority on what the inside of our exhausts look like more than anyone else here I'd think.

Good luck.   cooldude
