What apps do you use when traveling? I got a new tablet, and I'm a complete armature.

I am probably an exception, every thing on my home server is on my lap top. Photo editing software, gps mapping etc, etc.

What kind of internet access does your tablet have - wifi and/or 3/4g? That can dictate to an extent which apps would be more useful - and what OS is it? Some apps on Android that are free (see: ad supported) aren't free or available at all on iOS.

I use "Good ride" by Allstate to log my trip, keep up with expenses and determine individual states' laws.
I use "Pure Gas" to help me locate ethanal free fuel.

I use mine for email and map searching. I have a GPS on the bike. Download Google maps. I use it.

Android 4.0 WIFI but no 3G I was planning on using the hot spot function on Joanne's phone but found out there is an added charge for that. Well, of course there is.

Can you purchase the "hot spot" function for Joanne's phone on a monthly basis? I "THINK" Verizon offers something like that and perhaps other carriers do as well....might be worth consideration....

Bought a Razor Maxx for full time use but got some specific apps for road use, has gas buddy, navigation, emai, internetl and phone and a whole bunch of other crap I don't know how to use. But, it's honestly just not a tool I care to surf the net with. Take my laptop along for when I find wifi. Way more information potential capability than I used to travel with. Hate tring to read a foldup map while motoring down the road, GPS makes it so much more enjoyable, just ride.

I use a weather radar app if there are storms in area. I may use a map app if I just really have to.
