Pat and Caroline are broke down 22 miles north of Indy... any help would be appreciated. They think it's something with the drive shaft pinion cup.
Give me a call ... 602-663-1723

Hope he gets to them before the storm does. Anderson has a Honda dealer at least they did. Its not to far from the 22mm.

Jabba should be here anytime. It's sure looking like it could storm. I walked up the ramp to the closest gas station. Pat might get his butt wet. Depends which way it comes from. We sure appreciate Jabba offering to help us out. We'll see ya'll at InZane one way or the other.

I have a drive shaft I can overnight if needed. Don't have the cup though. If I know they need it, I can get it out tonight if I hear in the next hour. UPS closes at 8 central time. Hay Jimmyt

Its coming from the north towards the southeast. Lot of red and yellow. If he is not to far from the ramp might want to push it/limp it off the interstate. Be easier to load that way. Should see alot of bikers going south for a big rally. They may help.

Just saw this, what a bummer! Many thanks to Jabba for rescuing two of my favorite people. Carolyn, you have Andrea's cell. If you guys need it, I would be glad to trailer the Interstate down to you and you can take it to InZane. Just let me know if you need that or anything else.

uh...yeah. It rained a little. Doesn't rain for 55 days... and then THAT? WTF? Luckily it was over by the time I got there. Well, lucky for ME anyway. I took them home (Greenwood) and tore the bike apart last night. It was a dry pinion cup. They are at my house now, on a couch and floor sleeping like babies when I snuck out for work this AM. I am only working a half day today, and will be home by 1:30 or so, and will be able to help reassemble if we have parts by then. Cross your fingers! Jabba

It's all about Karma man. I have had total strangers bail me out when I was broke down on the road before. At the end of the day... all we have is our reputation and good name.
If you can get a hold of me... and I have the ability to attempt rescue... I will. That goes for all you guys. Hell, I normally have a pretty nice room in the garage for travelers but it's full of my niece, her boyfriend and her 2 daughters right now. Hopefully that is short term.

Like I've said in the past this ain't no club; it's family. Patrick knew we were in trouble when we stopped for gas, but thought we'd get to AR then get parts and fix it once we arrived. Well, less than 5 miles on the highway in the passing lane going 70+ mph with a semi to our right the bike had other ideas. Thankfully the semi and the other cars could see we were in trouble and let us over to the side of the road where at a very slow pace made it for a while longer...so close to getting of the exit but not close enough...only had to push a short distance to make sure the bike was safely off the highway and started up the ramp.
After some calls....Scott, Connie, Carl, Lori....next thing we know John Lowe would be on his way. Only thing is he lives on the other side of Indy....so he had to make a long drive in a terrible storm. Patrick sent me up the ramp to the gas station where I watched the storm come in and man it was a doozie. He said he didn't get wet, he put on his rain gear and found some cover.
I was never so glad to see man with his trailer in my life! I walked back down to the bike. There was a FULL rainbow in the sky. You could see it from one end to the other. WOW! The bike was loaded and we headed for for the Lowe residence.
I'll not get into the bike repair stuff, that's been explained in other posts. However; I will say the guy who can come get us...he has a trailer, a garage for the bike, the tools and along with Patrick the knowledge of fixing the bike. Man, they had that bike tore about and diagnosed in 20 minutes. Then this wonderful couple we have only met in passing at a couple events offers us a place to sleep. I got to tell you I slept like a baby.
So, today we wait for a part. Mike Terry will be coming through later today with the needed part. We'll either take off later today or in the morning.
Not sure about ya'll but my God is awesome, all the time! He has a reason for this little break down and set back in on our timing. It's never in our time, it's His time.
I LOVE this club aka FAMILY! We would all to the same for one another.
I can't wait to see everyone in AK when we all arrive!
Travel safe.
Blessings! Carolyn

Mine gave me no warning when it died. I left the red light pretty hard banged shifted into sec. and everything went quite. Just a little growling noise from the rear end area. Felt just like you were in neutral.

All fixed, thanks To Jabba and Big Mike. We will be on the road in the a.m. Fudgie, I have had this happen before. First sign is letting off the throttle and feeling a slight vibration. I knew what it was right then. We stopped for gas and then got back on the highway and didn't make it 4 miles when it came apart. Just like being in neutral with a little grinding. All in all I got to spend time with new friends. How cool is this club. Be at Inzane tomorrow. Schmidt Out.
