Looks like I am sticking around. I have a couple of have to do jobs that should have been done this week, but didn't happen. Overflow to next week now, with more piling up. I started to pop up there for a couple of days, but it is so dang hot here right now, that I just can't see it. 102 at my house as I type. I could get up there, but coming back would be a real bummer...
So, I will head to a friends house tonight and enjoy a couple of adult beverages, smoke a cigar and think about riding to InZane...

Only made it only to the first day of 2010 Inzane because of blood pressure problems. Missed 2011 completely because of the same thing. These were only about 90 miles from the house. Gonna miss 2012, because I just had back surgery, and can't ride far at one time. Just able to hang on to the Valk, for the bills are adding up  She needs all the yearly maintance done, and can't bend enough, long enough, to do it. I do get to ride a little, like to town for my P/T. BUT, surgery was a great success, and am on the mend. AND, got the BP thing under control, so maybe next year. maybe a little closer to home too |

Home here also, sitting around feeling sorry for myself because I can't go. This will only be the second one I have missed. Paying two mortgages right now as we are trying to sell a house and things are TIGHT. Can't even afford a good bottle of Crown Royal Black, might have to get a bottle of the cheap stuff tonite and drown my sorrows.  I hope everyone there has a great time!!  |

Dave R... I feel your pain! Being a Realtor, I'm just coming out of one of the worst slow-downs in my personal business in 17 years of selling homes. Business has been picking up here in southestern Wisconsin since March but I made the decision in March that I couldn't make it IZ this year. I'm still making up for a rough 2011 and being self-employed, I can't take 6-7 days off to ride there and back. I'm all alone, so when I take a day off, business stops. I don't get "vacation time" either - if I have someone watch my business, I pay them while I'm gone. But if it keeps up like it's been going in recent weeks, I will be able to plan NEXT year to take off and go to IZ.
I will miss all the people and activities this year. I've been to all but 2 InZanes since 2004. I hope people at ground zero post lots of pics this next week so I can sort of feel like I'm there.

Not making it this year, just coming out of a Chemo session, and it takes about two weeks to get on top of that. Havent done any riding for a while, but am envious of all who gets to go. Ratted the whole area out a couple of years ago on the Zx14. What a blast that was. Eureka Springs is great base of operations, and just about any direction you pick from there will be super.

I have all my 3 daughters/9 grand kids in town (stationed overseas) for another two weeks. Mama said I gotta stay...kinda crazy around my house right now. Headed to the east coast as soon as everyone leaves for some 'cooler' weather I hope.

Was down in Pensecola all last week and didn't get back to my house till 7:00pm Saturday. Still thought about riding down to the meet-up in Memphis, but I just didn't make it past the couch after
getting out of the shower. I was hoping to be able to sneak over to ES for a day or two, but I got back to work today, and of couse, I'm swamped now. I really wanted to go this year - being it's so close, but looks like it just ain't gonna happen. Guess I'll be hitting the beer store on the way home
today.
