Read my words carefully. If we can pass laws to prevent this from happening, I am for them. I have yet to hear one idea that will prevent this senseless killing from happening. Everyone carrying will not prevent it. No one carrying, will not prevent it. As long as there are warped minds, senseless killings will occur.

Welcome to the Welfare State,, err,, Empire State politics.. Bloomberg may be registered as an independent,, but,, he is as a big a liberal as one can get.. Its my understanding that the soft drink ban has taken place,, I'm not sure when or if it has taken effect.. He recently also got trans-fats banned within 'his' city.. I don't go downstate to the 'city' very often any more..
Hand guns [ and I think all guns] would be banned by now if it were left up to our liberal 'downstaters'.. Albany is now trying to charge user fees for pistol permits and make them expirable/renewable.. There are separate permits for downstate and upstate,, I had to get both..

Ah the typical battle cry from the left "Common sense approach" Bloomberg is one of the worst.
Nothing would have prevented this killing 12 people and wounding 50. A solution might be to hang the SOB that admitted to it upside down and put him on display like Mussolini until he rots. Some poor Bast*** that wanted his brief day in the sun. Unfortunately, he will be on display, with his armored vest on to protect him from us, in the courts for years since he won't be executed.
