Kudo's to Kyle Petty for stepping up and stating facts. Tired of hearing how she is the one to watch and she is learning so much each week. She is a marketing tool (and a good one I might add) and Nascar is just cashing in on that.

I just get a lot tired of her getting more press multiple laps down"read behind"than the 1st 2nd and 3d place finishers. When she actually gets her t-ts out of the way and WINS a Nascar race-then and only then-give her the press coverage. Best she's done in my book is an also ran. Had women truck drivers that done the same exact $hit a long time ago. Unions did their job gettin rid of the deadwood male and female. O-K rant off and no apologies.  RIDE SAFE. |

Good for Kyle. He's right. She can drive, she just can't drive to the level of the the hype she gets. She should have started in trucks, or a least a season or two in Nationwide. THEN go up to the big cars with the big boys.
She is on her first full time season in Nationwide. She hasn't jumped to Sprint Cup yet except for 10 races. She is expected to jump to Sprint Cup for next season but that isn't set in stone. Of course, her sponsor probably wouldn't have a problem sponsoring her since she is the most popular spokesperson they have had. Marty |

Danica gets the spot light because she is new to this type of racing,,She holds her own and no one really jumps in a sprint cup car and wins right off the bat,,and yes she deserves every bit of publicity she gets,,and i will have to go back and listen to it again but i dont think Kyle said she was "just" a marketing machine, I think he said she is a marketing machine,,,if she were sponsoring the making of Valkyries would you want the camera on her then?
well after listening to it again, thats what he said and might get in trouble for that statement,,

I guess by the standards you set, at least 1/2 of all the nationwide drivers need to quit. She is ahead in points of a lot of them. Has she won? No.
But, neither do most in their first year.
