They watch Obamanation grow in unbridled power

Americans Largely Silent as Their Nation is Systematically Destroyed

By JB Williams Tuesday, March 24, 2009

After trillions in taxpayer debt has been foolishly poured into the bottomless
black hole of leftist wealth redistribution programs, under the guise of
economic "stimulus" or "stabilization" legislation, the new "ONE World"
government running Washington DC announces; "Geithner, Bernanke Call
for New Wind-Down Powers after AIG" ... and the people still sit silent as they
watch Obamanation grow in unbridled power.
"Geithner Asks Congress for Even Broader Power to Seize Private Firms" as
the average American stumbles through their daily routine as if nothing is
happening. Canada Free Press managing editor Judi McLeod writes "No
Cheerleader for Popping Up Greenback at G20 Summit" asking, "Is the table
being set for One World Government rather than speeding the recovery of
the worldwide recession at next week's G20 London summit?"
Obamanation has taken the nation from a trillion in debt to over $4 trillion in
debt in the first sixty days, with even more federal spending promised, which
could put the nation $10 trillion in debt before the 2010 mid-term election
cycle. Amnesty for illegals and ACORN led redistricting will make 2010 and
beyond a moot point.
Still, beyond the movement to mail tea bags to members of congress or file
another legal demand for proof of Obama's constitutional eligibility for the
office he holds, both of which are like whistling in the breeze, the people
remain largely silent.

Threatened with a Soup Line Existence

The American people would never trade personal freedom for the false
promise of federally redistributed free-stuff under some ill-fated socialist
experiment, unless they were first threatened with a soup line existence.
And so it shall be ...
50% of their life savings and 30% of their home values have already
evaporated into thin air. National unemployment is driving towards double
digits as home foreclosures continue to mound.

With their backs against the wall, confused by a daily diet of media
manipulated headlines aimed at scaring the public into submission,
convinced that our nation's complex woes demand a solution far too
complicated for the average peasant to comprehend, the people find
themselves in a state of terminal paralysis.

Incompetent Evil in Charge

The same people responsible for the many disasters now surrounding every
American household, were elected in 2006 and 2008 to fix what they broke.
Instead of reversing course and placing their faith in the principles of
freedom, they are installing more of the same failed entitlement policies that
created the problem and they are doing so at a fever pace.
The folks currently in charge of the nation don't like anything at all about the
nation that once was. They have a very different vision for America, one
based on redistribution of free-stuff, not equal access to freedom.
At the foundation of personal freedom is the right to make your own
decisions, invest and risk your own capital, own your own property and keep
that which you are willing to work and sacrifice to earn. It's called economic
freedom, aka capitalism.
But capitalism is public enemy #1 in America today, thanks to decades of
class warfare and the art of division via social envy, all for purpose of
political gain.
Life, Liberty and the right to individually define and pursue Happiness has
been replaced with the right of some to take from others against their will, in
the name of a greater common good, better defined as the entitlement
mentality.

The Change Agents New World Dictionary

Old concepts have been redefined. Capitalism is now referred to as Fascism. Personal
ambition is now called greed. Those who seek access to other people's rightful earnings are
called charitable, and those who demand a right to only that, which they earn, are called
greedy.
It isn't just the words that have new definitions. The concepts have new meaning as a result.
Words like socialism and communism no longer have a negative connotation attached to them.
Most Americans have no idea what they are anymore, or why they don't want to find out the
hard way.
The concept of liberal interpretations limits the meaning of words only to one's individual
imagination. The Constitution means only what someone imagines it to mean. If the shoe
doesn't quite fit, a new definition will solve the problem.

What are Americans Waiting For?

I don't know what it will take to wake up the average American, but whatever it is, it hasn't
happened yet. ..
The people currently stocking up on food, water, guns and ammo in record numbers, causing
shortages in all the above at the retail level, are clearly awake and anticipating something, but
what? Meet the "extremists ... "
The people still trying to get a court somewhere in America to hear the arguments concerning
the most secretive corrupt president in US history, have been awake for a long time. Meet the
"birthers ... " But they continue to have trouble waking anyone else up, including in the so-called
halls of justice.
Is it a bankrupt dollar and a new international currency that will get their attention? - A North
American Union? - An ACORN Army on their doorstep? What will be the final straw that breaks
the proverbial camel's back?
I don't have the answer ... Frankly, I expected the people to revolt long before now. Clearly, I
had underestimated the depth of apathy and tolerance for anti-American nonsense in the
average modern American. But then, so did our nation's founders, whom I'm certain are rolling
over in their graves in disgust by now.
The Silent Consent Continues
Nobody knows for how long or at what expense, but so far, the people remain silent and
Washington continues to profitably interpret that silence as broad-based consent.
At this late date, I have no idea what will wake up the average American or how they might
react once finally awake and ready to engage in self-governance. However, I am sure about
two things ...
When they finally do awake, they are going to be really angry ...
And, the anti-American left won't let up until then ...
The clock isn't just ticking. Time has already run out as of the 2008 election. Washington DC is
currently dismantling America, individual right by individual right, in an unprecedented massive
multi-faceted assault on all things American.
If you are not familiar with the "Democratic Socialists of America" or their legislative branch, the
"Congressional Progressive Caucus", I strongly suggest that you take time to learn them well.
They are in charge of your nation. This is who the average American is up against and they
are a very well funded and organized enemy of the state.
You will not be able to take your country back without putting these two organizations out of
business. The longer you wait, the tougher the battle, the higher the price.
Clearly, the organizational skills of the average American are equal only to that of the
stumbling bumbling Republican Party. Fragmented, distracted and disorganized, the people
are no match for the leftist juggernaut running roughshod in DC.
The people are lost, so they are losing ... The most complex problems require the simplest of
solutions. But the average American is so baffled by a daily diet of elitist B.S., that they cannot
even see daylight. .. - When all else fails, return to the basics!
Here's to the average American waking up in time! - Good luck!

During an interview on French TV held yesterday in France PresBO described the USA as one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.

Well done Democrat voters. You fell for his change hook, line and sinker.

And slamming George, not a perfect President either, in response will not alter the Facts.

It's fairly simple really.

All I referred to was :-

It will look alot better than if we had laid down and let the global economy collapse and turned us into a third world country.  Hell, even Bush realized where that was heading, that's why he gave the financial's 750 billion dollars. Unfortunately, like everything else he did, it was done with massive incompetence mixed with large amounts of corruption.

Like 7 out of 10 Americans, I approve of Obama and believe he is our best chance to turn this train around before we go off the cliff. Go ahead and whine and spout the pure BS you're fed by the drug addicts and morally bankrupt spokesmen for the lunatic fringe. The rest of us will support our President and do our best to get America on the right track in spite of your ilk.

However, we are hoping you guys don't give up on your "secede" ravings or whatever your talking points are this week.  If you hate America so much we will be happy to see you gone.  Take "Oxycontin Rush" and "Fantasy Hannity" with you please, they are like flies, they eat sh*t and bother people.

I live in the Reality Based World. Come visit sometime.

The reality is that the American People were sold a false bill of goods,

And now,

They are being sold down the river fast.

The article in question wasn't written by a Fox News Reporter.

It was written by a British reporter.

If the press of other countries are begining to see through the Facade of BHO then maybe soon the American press will begin to see through it also.

I would say that "ridicoulous crapolla" is a matter of opinion. Not all of us think alike. That is a great thing about this country. That fact that you disagree means nothing to me,, that fact that you can express it means all.

On this topic, I found this editorial article in Pravda rather interesting...

Ya' know... Pravda... Russian for Truth... What used to be the official newspaper of the Communist Party of the USSR...

*Sigh*

How times have changed...

http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/columnists/107459-0/

And one more salient quote from the ultra radical nut job Hugo Chavez...

"Hey, Obama has just nationalized nothing more and nothing less than General Motors. Comrade Obama! Fidel, careful or we are going to end up to his right," Chavez joked on a live television broadcast.

Here is basically the same story written by an ABC news correspondent.

The fact is that during the campaign referring to him as Barack Hussein Obama was seen as derogatory (even though that's his name).

Now, all of a sudden it's a good thing.

Hypocrisy is one of the things that I detest the most.

And this reeks of hypocrisy.

Actually, no... Someone sent me the link and I found it highly ironic...

You'd be surprised to learn overall I detest Bush ALMOST as much as I detest obama...

I just want the government out of my life, out of my business, out of my gun safes, out of my checking account, out of my investments, out of my doctor's office, out of my bedroom, out of my medicine cabinet, off my bike, out of my car, out of my kid's head, out of my church (If I went to one), etc. etc. etc... Bush was horrid in these respects, but obama is making a drunken dash to the full blown nanny state so invasive it'd make an old school politburo member from the USSR blush...

How about the FAA when you fly? Food inspection? No safety standards for cars? No schools? Out of your Doc's office - no requirements or verification of medical licensing? Off your bike - let the companies set all safety standards and verify they comply?

I apologize Scanner, I broke my own rule, never argue politics or religion on the internet... (Insert non-PC picture related to this and the Special Olympics here)

One final thing and I'll try to shut up... Despite what some might think, Libertarianism (What I am) is NOT equal to anarchy... Of course some sensible controls have to be in place, but when the long fingers of the nanny state go beyond the bare basic bits and start reaching into every nook and cranny of our lives, it's gone way too far, and we're WAY past that point, and going deeper and deeper...

I think you realize that's not what he was saying.

As and old hippie, as someone who remembers when liberal meant standing up for civil rights and freedom. As someone who lost their first good job due to opposition to racism. As someone who truly believes in the civil rights our forefathers and veterans died to protect. I have to say that what passes as liberalism now is what we were fighting against then.

State sponsored racism (quotas and potential justices who believe their race makes them smarter than other races) for instance. Intolerance (if you don't believe as I do, then, as you said, leave the country!) and enforced political correctness.

The hate speech the left constantly spouts, that, if you believe in the "Bill of Rights", if you believe in equal civil rights for all, if you believe in the "right of the people to keep and bear arms", if you believe in the right of the people to make their own mistakes, if you believe in the right to be “left the hell alone” then according to the left you are a loony.

Never in my memory has there been a movement more filled with hate than our present left which call themselves liberal in order to hide their fascism. If those liberals who risked their lives and freedom in the 60’s and 70’s to stand up for personal freedom could have foreseen the league of whining, lawyer chasing, hate-filled fine Americans who would claim the title of liberal today they would have puked on their sandals.

May God help our country.

lmao...the fringe is hard at work.   It's very sad we have a generation raised on Fox, Limbaugh and the other loony propaganda.  Worse yet, they have learned the tactics so well - make up a lie and say it often enough and theor people will believe it.

FOX - we distort, you comply.

By the way Frye, the examples I gave were exactly what he said. He has no idea what he meant beacuse, like others, he's he's just spewing up the crappola that he's been fed.

And someone who equates Liberals with Fascist has OD'd on the crappola.

As a Life member of the NRA, as a former city councilman for 14 years, as an 81 year old who's been around the block a few times, I know only too well how politicians AND the mass media lie to us.

If I chose to believe the news on Fox it is because I have the experience to know the difference between lies and truth, most of the time. As far as Russ Limbaugh and Hannity are concerned, I don't listen much to Limbaugh and I don't believe all that Hannity tells.

However, from what I see, we have come a long way from what the Constitution defines.  We ARE approaching (if not already there)a form of socialism never before seen in our country.

This is my opinion and please note, opinion can be given on this forum without deriding others and their opinion.  Just my .02

I have always made it a point to stay out of these kind of posts, but it is my opinion that  many are so steeped in the election and support for this president, they will never admitt when certain policys are not good for america..regardless of what they are.
many americans are unconcerened, and pay no attention to the political world, others are asleep.  but most will awaken ,maybe not this year or next, but when the realality of consistent $4.00 per gallon gas, 13% home morgage rates, 10% auto loans , the dollar worth half what it is today, retirement for most unatainable or grocely delayed, there gas & electric doubled, can no longer afford to buy guns or amunition, and the economy goes in the crapper for the next 10 years because it takes everything the middle class makes to just make ends meet and pay there tax's . eight years from now when they ask the question are you better off today then you were eight years ago , I'LL bet you the anser will be a resounding NO!..AND one other thing,if I hear one more talking head lib,say G.M needs to make cars people want I will go nuts. sales are down for every single manufacturer,G.M  is not selling cars, because people can not afford are to afraid to buy cars right now...and the recent changes to the auto industry will only make vehicles more expensive.you will pay more and get less for your money.that is if people have any money left to buy a new vehicle..knew I shouln't got started..wish everyone regardless of your political views a safe day...

I have to chime in here.  The right wing were the ones who made his middle name derogatory (including you, I might add), not everyone.  It was their attempt to make him look bad, and it failed.  Using his middle name now that he was the winner, is not hypocrisy.  It is a method of trying to allieviate the tensions between Christian and Moslem factions.  Sounds like the Christian thing to do, doesn't it?

He has no idea what he meant beacuse, like others, he's he's just spewing up the crappola that he's been fed.

Okay, I'm staying outta the general discussion, but I can't leave this alone. I know exactly what I meant. I've come to my current political state after traveling a long and winging road.

I've voted Democrat the vast majority of my life. I attended Clinton campaign rallies, I threw a huge party when he won. I attended anti-Bush rallies. I contributed to the Democrats, and proudly sported a "Bush for EX-President!" sticker on my car. I was a member of the Dallas County Young Democrats. Right next to the "Impeach Obama" sticker on my bike I proudly sport a "Doing my part to PISS OFF the Religious Right!" one, and I still stand behind both sentiments.

Shocking as it may seem, I can't STAND Faux news. Not only the obvious bias (Which all news has to some degree, being a human endeavor) but also the over the top sensationalism they use. I get most of my news from the obvious right wing sources of the BBC, CNN, PBS and NPR, although lately I've been drifting to about the most un-biased source you can get, news aggregators like Google News...

I had another page or two of ranting about the current situation, and how I got here and why I got here, but that's too close to the original argument, so I erased it.

The fact is that Hussein is his middle name and that during the election his "handlers" made it completely politically incorrect to use it.

They did so because of fears that it would cost him votes.

Now, all of a sudden the same "handlers" find it convient to play up his middle name.

That is Hypocrisy.

There is nothing special about Obama.

He is very charismatic but

He is a self centered and self serving politician plain and simple.

Nothing more, nothing less.

As far as him reducing tensions with the Muslim world,

His sudden fondness for a middle name that was tabboo to mention a few short months ago isn't fooling anyone.

Serk, I agree with you and think I will stay out of the general discussion since I have neither the time nor patience to attempt to alter anyone's political perspective on this board.  But for the record, folks would probably describe me as leaning a bit "right of the center".

I simply want to note that since you are from the great state of Texas and sported a "Bush for ex-President" sticker on your car...clearly you are either one of the biggest, meanest, baddest dudes in the state....or you like to live life on the fringe (probably ran with scissors as a kid after being told not to by your parents) ...  Interesting either way!!

And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of the land called America , having lost their morals, their work initiative, and their will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme Leader that person known as "The One". He emerged from the vapors with a message that had no meaning; but He hypnotized the people telling them, "I am sent to save you. My lack of experience, my questionable ethics, my monstrous ego, and my association with evil doers are of no consequence. For I shall save you with Hope and Change. Go, therefore, and proclaim throughout the land that he who preceded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation, and that all he has built must be destroyed."

And the people rejoiced, for even though they knew not what "The One" would do, he had promised that he would bring change, and they proclaimed "Yes We Can".

And "The One" said "We live in the greatest country in the world. Help me change everything about it!"

And the people said, "Hallelujah!! Change is good!"

Then He said, "We are going to tax the rich fat-cats,"---- And the people said "Sock it to them!" "---- and "Redistribute their wealth."

And then He said, "Redistribution of wealth is good for everybody"

And the people said, "Show us the money!"

And Joe the plumber asked, "Are you kidding me? You're going to steal my money and give it to the deadbeats??"

And "The One" ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe's personal records were hacked, publicized, and ridiculed; though no crime could be found.

One lone reporter asked, "That shouldn't be, isn't that Marxist policy?"

And she was banished from the kingdom!

Then a citizen asked, "With no foreign relations experience and having zero military experience or knowledge, how will you deal with radical terrorists?"

And "The One" said, "Simple. I shall sit with them and talk kindly to them and show them how nice we really are; and they will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!"

And the people said, "Hallelujah!! We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons into free cars for the people!"

Then "The One" said, "I shall give 95% of you lower taxes."

And one, lone voice said, "But 40% of us don't pay ANY taxes."

; >   So "The One" said, "Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!"

And the people said, "Hallelujah!! Show us the money!"

Then "The One" said, "I shall tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!"

And the people yawned and the already slumping housing market fully collapsed.

And He said, "I shall mandate employer-funded health care for EVERY worker and raise the minimum wage, and lower the white collar wage. And I shall also give every person unlimited healthcare and medicine and even transportation to the free clinics."

And the people said, "Give me some of that!"

Then he said, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas."  > > And the people said, "Where's my rebate check?"

Then "The One" said, "I shall bankrupt the coal industry, and perhaps even the oil industry (Cap & Trade/Carbon Tax) and though electricity rates will skyrocket, we shall soon build wind farms and solar power stations and drive green cars that I shall mandate in Detroit!"

And the people said, "Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don't care for that part about higher electric rates."

So "The One" said, "Not to worry. If your rebate ($10/week) isn't enough to cover your extra expenses ($3,000/year), we shall bail you out. Just sign up with ACORN and your troubles are over!" "Only the fat cats will have to pay."

Then He said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let's grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing..."

And the people said, "Hallelujah!!" And they made him King!

And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers; though they sold much less of their products. Others simply gave up and went out of business, and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff. The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of the people were without a means of support.

So "The One" again blamed the prior administration, extended unemployment benefits to a year, bailed out his favorite banks, and then took over the banks and auto industries. "The One" said, "I am the "The One" - The Messiah - and I'm here to save you! We s hall just print more money so the government will have enough!" "Surely one trillion dollars will make everyone happy." And immediately the Fed complied and the money presses roared.

And China reconsidered their one trillion dollars of loans to the US ,, and threatened to call in their debts. Other foreign trading partners said unto "The One", "Wait a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more.. for everything.. as your dollar becomes worth less."

And the people said, "Wait a minute.. That is unfair!!"

And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. What factories are not owned by your government are owned by us. Now you shall play by our rules!"

And "The One" said "Americans are arrogant, divisive, and derisive!" "We will listen."

And the people cried out, "Alas, alas!! What have we done?"

But yea verily, it was too late. The people eventually set upon "The One" and spat upon him and stoned him, and his name was dung. But the once mighty nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or shelter or hope. And the Change that "The One" had given them was as like unto a poison that had destroyed them from within, and like a whirlwind that consumed all that they had built.

And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish, "Give us back our nation and our pride and our hope!!"

But it was too late, and the once-glorious "Home of the Brave and Land of the Free" was no more..

You may think this is a fairy tale, but it's not. It's happening RIGHT NOW, Already---- everything down to the last couple of lines....

"Half the cabinet are tax dodgers" eh?  heh...heh heh....Had to jump in didn't you? Regardless of how stupid it sounds... Rush would be proud.....

Do you know who is in the cabinet or how many cabinet level positions there are?  How many of those are proven "tax dodgers"?

If you can't back up your crap with fact it would be best you just go back to your tinker toys and leave the discussion to the grown-ups. Now run along...

And for all those constantly crying about how we're now a socialist nation here's some facts:

One fifth of one percent (.21) of American business and corporate assets have been recently nationalized (ie GM). The link below provides a chart that should make it plain,
