I'm doing some troubleshooting on my Valk and now I'm confused by the Honda Service Manual (page 9-11 / 418 on the PDF).

I just realized my Coolant Temp Indicator does not turn on, when the engine is off and the ignition switch is on.

Is it supposed to turn on before the bike is turned on? Like the oil pressure one does?

The oil pressure indicator and side stand indicator both work.

Thanks, Ed...

If I recall, the interstate's light comes on intermittently, then turns off. On the Tour/Standard it is not supposed to come on. This may not be the case for all years... Someone please correct me if this is wrong.
