The Landmass Between Mobile And New Orleans

« on: July 29, 2012, 07:14:42 AM »

Yesterday the Men's Archery Team took Silver, losing to the Italians by 1 point.

Last night Ryan Lochte won Gold swimming in the Men's 400 Meter Individual Medley.  Michael Phelps finished 4th.

This morning Kim Rhode set a new Olympic Record and equalled the World Record by breaking 99 of 100 targets in Women's Skeet.  This is Kim's 5th Olympics and she has medalled in every one making her the first U.S. athlete to medal in 5 Olympics.  This is her 3rd Gold Medal, she won Gold in Double Trap in Atlanta '96 and Athens '04.  She took Silver in Beijing '08 in Skeet, the Olympics replaced Double Trap with Skeet.  In Sydney 2000, Kim took Bronze in Double Trap.

Congrats guys!  You've done us proud.  I hope to see more U.S. athletes with you during the next two weeks!

Come on!  Really?!  You want to hijack this thread from a celebration of our Olympic Athletes accomplishments and turn it into a political thread?  SMH!   ???
