So I am planning to get out to Sturgis, before bike week next year. I am not a big fan of crowds. So may plan currently (time limited) is to trailer the bike to Ashville and ride the dragon, then from there head toward Sturgis. The plan would be to drive one day, ride the next (loops) and so on, so my question is, from the dragon heading toward Sturgis where are some good day long loops? I am thinking a 10 day trip that leaves from NJ to Sturgis and back. Any insight and suggestions would be appreciated.

Why trailer?

Don't think that's the question he was asking.

When Dan Stocker was alive he would trailer the Valks (his red tourer/standard and Davida's trike) to the air force base in Colorado and ride from there

If you are a Vet check out if you can still do that and then the 1700 miles across the boring midwest you can do in 2 days with the ac on

Once in the rockies you could not pay me to trailer my bike its too much fun

What Oss said!!!   Ride the Rockies!!!

I keep thinking about heading to Sturgis also.  My cousin has tried to get me to head out this weekend with him.  But, I couldn't make it to Inzane, so I guess Sturgis is out also.   Work work work work....
