I know 99% of you don't care but I finally bought tickets to the USF/FSU football game in Tampa!!! I had to buy season tickets to the Bulls to get them but it's all good we will probably go to all the home games.
Some background. I went to USF a loooong time ago well before they started a football program in 1997. Since then the Bulls have been very successful in building a strong program, may even win the Big East this year. While I was at USF my little sister was at FSU so naturally I became a Seminole fan with all the trips to Tally to rescue baby sis. She rewarded Dad & I with those excellent cheap student tickets to the Seminoles games which were played at night back then. It was in Bobby Bowden's first few seasons while he was building the FSU program into the record setting powerhouse that it became.
Now I have two great programs to pull for & for the second time they are playing each other!
Yes, we were there a few years back at Doak Campbell stadium for the very first meeting of the Bulls & Seminoles. Also there at gator stadium when the Bulls played the stupid gators for the first time.
I'm a very happy college football fan today!!!
BTW, I'll be in the Green & Gold of the Bulls while Kim will be decked out in the Garnet & Gold of the Seminoles. Only time I'll ever not be in the Seminoles colors is this matchup. I'm sure we won't be the only split married couple in the stadium!
