Hi guys,
I removed the rear engine case the other day. This from the engine I took back in trade from my parted out IS, a 27K miles Tourer, which had greanaded/seized. Looks like it might have been 1 or 2 rear rodes.
Besides a few small flakes of metal on the bottom, there was this I found in the seat of the output shaft, where the bearing sits.

The metal wasn't exactly where it's pictured, but it was in the area. The output shaft spun freely, no signs of binding or rough.
The area the bearing goes in looks clean. Would this part still be usable? I'll need to look over the output shaft again to see what goes into that area that was machined out where the metal has been gouged out.
