Do Your Best and Miss the Rest!

Yorkville, Illinois

« on: August 01, 2012, 07:16:37 PM »

The wife and I didn't go straight home to Illinois early Fri AM but set off for Wisc to our Lakehouse on Beaver Dam Lake. It was 720 miles give or take and about 13 hours of riding. Reen is a real trooper for riding that long in one day without nary a complaint. Our total mileage was right around 1500 miles to IZ and back.

I only had my helmet bashed a few times...from her falling asleep and "nodding" forward. Am I the only one that happens to? Smiley

The other reason for my post is to thank all of the vendors, volunteers, and the staff of the VRCC.
Oz, Workerbee, Scott, Skeeter, F6gal, Pyscho, Motomama, and Willow just keep making IZ special, even for first timers. This was my 4th IZ and I enjoyed it as much as the others. I can't even begin to imagine how much planning goes into this event.

Thanks to Daniel Meyer for once again putting on some GREAT tech sessions. I've attended several that he's put on and there's always something new I learn.

Thanks to Dez at Ultimate Seats for coming out yr after yr and supporting us, BigBF and Big Mike at Valkyrie Bling....and to all the other vendors. And thanks to Misfit and his kids, who it seemed were hardly ever out of the registration room...and to Carolyn and Patrick for organizing the registration.

When naming people, it's always at the risk of forgetting someone...if I overlooked anyone, I'm truly sorry. It's just that I wanted to call attention to those responsible that their efforts made a big difference to my wife and I....Thanks SO much!!

Thanks for being there, Wiggy (and for helping out).

If VRCC folks didn't attend it was just be a big bust.

It was great seeing you.   cooldude
