Its only 110 outside i spent a little time outside admiring the day.Approximately 30 seconds.Anyhow, BBT apparently is no longer making forward controls. If you look ath mounting point of our crash bars, say on the brake side, you see one bolt near where the brake lever is.The other crash bar mounting points are at the front of the motor. The bar curves, making it impossible for many posible highway pegs mountings. What if you took the crash bars off, cut the curved section out, made a straight section in its place, sort of a square from the front of the motor to the most rearward mounting point. Then several different highway pegs could be mounted.

And, what if you put a footpeg where the rear bolt is.A lenthened brake pedal going under the peg and then reaching upward in front of the pag where the toe of your right boot could push it downwards could be fabricated. The peg would need a second mounting point to make it stable.perhaps a strap from the bolt hole, reaching up and securing to the new crash bar would work. The stock peg could be used in the new location. Its under the cylinder head, but not too close to the ground.Do the same thing on the shifter side.I saw here somewhere someone bought a shifter peg off i think a honda 1100 sportbike that was sort of l shaped.

Just an idea.

I saw a bike at IZ that the owner had removed the engine crash guards and replaced them with straight pipe. Just one 1-1/2" pipe straight out from the upper mount. Didn't look as bad as it sounds. Smiley

But, you may be in luck, there's a set of BBT controls in the classifieds

I remember seeing a single tube lower crash guard as described, but can't find my link right now. I did find this one from Darryl at XF6, plus he has floorboards for it too.

You may be able to base something off of that...
