I just installed this signal minder because I seem to chronically forget to cancel my signal indicator.  uglystupid2 Well this Kisan device cancelled the signaling as selected, however after the time lapses, the selected bank of running light on the front remains out until a manual reset.  tickedoff  The OEM blinker retuns to running light mode. So i installed the supplied springs in the switch to eliminate the need to manually reset the switch. As it turns out, I had to hold the switch in place to make it work, not acceptable.  tickedoff  tickedoff I also wired up the system accordingly to make all signals marker/running lamps, that didn't work.  tickedoff  tickedoff  tickedoff  Anybody have this turn signal cancellation device that works as advertised? I have followed their directions exactly. I have installed a number of run/turn/brake systems in the past with success, mostly Kuryakyn products.

I had a Kisan SM3 and it worked for a while, and I was quite pleased.
Then all of a sudden it quit working. Kisan aid that they would warranty it, but I would have to have the original receipt. Who keep receipts for more than five years?

I recently got a king bigboy seat with the "blinker buddy"  installed.  simple hook up to bike's electrical system and works great.

Had the sm3 on my standard. Worked exactly as it was supposed to.
When I hit a snag with the install, I called their customer service. An extremely knowledgeable lady (daughter of the owner) walked me through the process and gave me good info on using the small rubber pieces instead of the springs and some other tips. She called me two or three days later to make sure all was OK.
I suggest giving them a call. If you can lose your frustation when you call, I bet you'll get the results you need.

I have had mine now over 4 years and works great. Had trouble at first set up but you have to cut the springs for it to work properly and great customer service.  And yes like most electronic parts they do brain fart. Best to start out in general mode then turn on other features. One spring went flying on install and they sent extra's to me of course I found it later.

Make sure your dip switches are set properly and be sure you don't have any strain on the wires where they plug into the unit . Speaking from experience . Mine has been on for years .

When you get it all working be sure to bag the module to keep it dry. The location for the turn signal module is a wet location and the unit is not waterproof. When wet it will fail in mysterious ways. Ask me how I know.  Embarrassed

Art, pictures would be nice if you could. The indicator light in the headlight just isn't the bright during the bright sunny days. Not sure if I want that buzzing thing under my butt when sitting at a long light. I have been thinking about adding some other type of idiot lghts this winter. Thanks,

Good advice. I have the SM-3 on my 98 Tourer. Everything was fine until one day my left turn signal would not flash. Then I noticed that my left rear running light was not on. Found the problem to be a contaminated connection where the new harness plugs into the SM-3. The orientation of the SM-3 when installed puts this connection on top of the SM-3 where dirt and water can get in.

FYI, the SM-3 puts 2.5 volts on the turn signal circuits (both front and rear). When you select a left turn for example, the voltage increases to 12 volts and the SM-3 makes it flash.

If you take the lense off of the front turn signal, you will find that both elements are lit. You will have 12 volts on the running light element and 2.5 volts on the turn signal element. When a left turn is selected, the turn signal switch removes the 12 volts from the left running light element and the SM-3 flashes the left turn signal element with 12 volts. For the rear bulb, you will have 2.5 volts until the turn signal switch is activated and the SM-3 flashes it with 12 volts
