Replaced the rear Metzler recently wth another but found front Metzler was still good, just started cupping a bit on left side, figured I'd use it up. Unfortunately my local tire source is now out of stock on the Metzler front tires so I picked up an Avon Cobra front. Tires are 50$ cheaper there than at local Honda dealers but they only buy so many for the season. I expect to get a few thousand more miles from that Metzler front tire. Any how when the time comes to swap the front for the Avon I purchased I'm wondering if I'll have problems with the Avon on front and the Metzler on rear. Considering that some riders use car tires on rear and various tires on front I'm thinking it doesn't really matter. Comments would be appreciated, Thanks

Shouldn't make any difference.

Only thing I see as different, the Metzler has a bigger footprint on the front than a Cobra.

I run a front Metz with my GoodYear Triple treadon the rear..

Have run this combination for 3 years if my memory serves me correctly.

I have a venom up front and an ME880 on the back. I really like it.

Avon up front - Goodyear Triple Tread (car tire) on there rear. After 13k miles no issues, other than the Goodyear hardly shows any signs of wear. I may get 40k miles out of that $87.00 tire!

Well, I have the exact opposite combo, Metz on the front, Avon Cobra on the back & it handles like a dream.  cooldude

Thanks for the feedback, no worries when I get it on then. I really like the Metz , looking forward to using the Cobra.
