As some of you know I sold my VTX last year.... 4 years after I got my Valkyrie Interstate.
Since then, I have been trying to put the proceeds of the VTX sale to good use and picked up a few older bikes....

My Ex-2002 VTX 1800 Retro

Afterwards, last year I picked up a vintage 73 Honda CL350 Scrambler......

A couple weeks ago I picked up a 1981 Honda CB650 Custom.....

And last week, I couldn't help it, I picked up a 1982 Honda CB900 Custom......
(Shaft Drive, Air Shocks, All Disc Brakes, 5 speed tranny a 2 speed gearbox and 900cc's)

Yep, I stiill have the Valkyrie..... it ain't going anywhere....

Love that Scrambler. What a beauty you have there! (And the Interstate!)

Wow, thanks for the trip down memory lane. That 350 scrambler was my dad's first bike back then and is what really triggered my interest in bikes when I was young. It sounded so cool when he started it up in the garage. I also remember the 900 custom on the local Honda dealers showroom floor. I used to stop in there and drool over that bike, but could never swing the cash for one. Your Valk looks sharp too, very nice collection !!  cooldude

I bought a new 350 SL in 1970. Loved that bike. The exhausts were cool the way they went down low then came up at the back. Sounded pretty good too for a 350.

Nice collection cooldude (Honda museum) Did you remove foam from your Interstate seat? Looks lower in the seat than most?

Dave, I had the exact same bike only mine was a '72. The old SL was heavier and not quite as nimble as some of the other dirt bikes but the cursed thing just would not quit. I beat the dog snot out of it and couldnt kill it! Fun times...  Smiley

My ride before my 1st Valk was a 1981 CB900C.  I traded it to Squealy and it was his first bike.

It was a good bike.  I'm glad it's gone though.  Cheesy

Wouldn't want to pay insurance on 4 bikes though?

I don't have insurance on my 3 ATV's or fishing boat with outboard motor, but then again,  I don't ride them in too much traffic and definitely not on the road (ATv's) too often to cause much chance of running into things other than trees.  Plus, I don't use them yearly more than 5-12 times per year is all.

Insurance coverage on 4 bikes is not really 4X what you are paying now.  There is a multi discount, and when you classify some as antique and not daily riders, there is even more savings.   What is your annual premium on one bike?  I bet I'm close enough to what you pay now.
