Not really a big deal to most, but I am experimenting with what I like for windshields.
So far the oversized by Show-Chrome is nice for cold protection but in the heat it really is more than what is needed. Although the buffeting was just about completely gone when riding behind the Show-Chrome one…
The stock windshield is actually a very nice size for me as an all around setup, but I took my liberties with that one and cut it down trying to investigate how much or how low I wanted to go with a Shorty tinted windshield.
Somehow I never took a picture with the Show-Chrome one from ebay on the bike??? Wonder how I missed that photo-op.
Here is the Stocker before anything was done to it, it was a bit scratched as one would expect from a 13y/o bike that has lived the last almost 8 years outside and mostly uncovered...

Since it doesn’t take all that long to swap windshields I might pick up a stock size replacement
Now here is a picture of the stock after being rough hand cut yes I did this free hand, and then tried to tint it that failed miserably so "A sanding I went" that also didn't work out so well but it was short enough to see over so I was able to ride with it for a couple days... before my Cee-Bailey's 10.5" dark smoke tinted showed up. I might cut the original stock shield down to about 8” and see how I like that size next.

And this afternoon I managed to get the new Cee-Bailey's Short dark smoked shield in place. Now how do you like this one? coolsmiley

I really like the look although riding in the cool California night/morning at 04:00 I ride with a modular helmet and the jaw bar raised up and in this condition I have to ride with the jaw down so I can tolerate the wind in my eyes. Last night I rode wearing a clear pair of safety glasses and that will probably be my best option. In the warm day time a pair of sunglasses with the jaw bar and face shield up is very pleasant but at any road speed even with the Amplifier I can barely hear the stereo.. With the jaw bar down I can hear the stereo enough up to around 75-80mph where as with the Show-Chrome tall wide shield I can comfortably and clearly hear the stereo up to around 105-110mph crazy2
